  Huers Hide was a delightful property with spectacular views across Porthkidney beach, with a delightful well tended garden below the decking area. The property was such a joy to spend a week away. It provided so much more than we expected. We definitely would recommend Huers Hide to our family and friends, and we would love to come back again. All credit to the owners.

• "Bathroom and conservatory both need a spring clean."

  Fridge temperature regulator may be faulty as occasionally it freezes over. Hot water in bathroom is scalding at the sink yet mediocre at the bath. Window cleaners arrival was unannounced and as such intrusive. Bbq equipment missing - early advice given. Guttering to the front of property is split and in need of maintenance.

• "This apartment is amazing."

  We left yesterday and I missed that view when I woke up this morning! The apartment was even better than expected because there where more facilities not listed eg iron and hairdryer etc. It literally has everything. We stayed the week for my partners birthday. We could have stayed another. The walks are fabulous and there's some lovely pubs if you fancy a walk. The badger inn did lovely food. It's a few minute walk to the train station and then a 3 minute train ride in to St ives. We had a lovely day out at St ives. £2 return and trains run every 20 minutes or so. The last train back is around 11pm so you really can make a day of it. The selection of dvds was a nice touch. We did watch a couple. I cant rate it enough. We'll be back again one day. • "This apartment has a fabulous view over the bay looking across to Godrevy Head and lighthouse."

  There was everything we could have asked for to enjoy a lovely week walking the coastal paths and relaxing in comfortable surroundings. Each room in the apartment is so well equipped and coordinated so that the accommodation lacks for nothing. There's even a sewing machine (which we didn't use)! Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

• "Our second stay at Huers hide we decided to come back as last years holiday was ruined by all the world leaders visiting St Ives the same week as us and restricted our movements if we had of known we would have cancelled but due to security it wasn't made public until it was too late for us to change our plans."

  . anyway we came back to this beautiful part of the world and enjoyed the lovely views and accommodation at Huers hide. We were a bit disappointed that almost every cup. Saucepan ect was not clean and had to be washed before we used it.. apart from that all good and had a lovely week. One thing that tainted the experience is that we never had out £100.00 security deposit from last years holiday despite several emails of which most of the later ones were ignored.. they probably thought ignore them and they will go away.. I still have the email from the company saying we hope you enjoyed your stay and your deposit will be forthcoming.I even offered them to credit the £100.00 off this holiday. Very disappointing!!!

  The property is extremely well stocked with everything you could need for a self catering holiday - loved the quirky ornaments, the cat above the bed and the little mouse in the mousehole particularly. The conservatory was the jewel in the crown and a fabulous place to retreat on an evening with a glass of wine and just watch the sea and the clouds. Very well located for walking or taking the train. Didn’t use the car all week.

• "This was our third stay at Huers Hide, none of which have disappointed."

  HH is the best sited, best equipped, most comfortable holiday accommodation we have visited. Two of the three ceiling lights in the lounge are out and need replaced and you might need to revisit the instructions regarding disposal of recyclables. I put ours in the bins provided in the car park area to be hailed by a gentleman who said we should put all rubbish in the black bin by the door. I think he may be a permanent resident at Sea Urchin. Last year we arrived slightly early, parked up and sat in the car. Within minutes he was out checking why we were there! Good to see a gate at the entrance to the properties.

• "Fantastic setting of this luxury apartment, fantastic views across the bay from the bedroom and conservatory."

  The apartment is decorated to a very high standard with love, makes you feel like home from home. Everything has been thought through, the property does have everything you’ll need on a self catering holiday. We can see why the property has been awarded 5 Star status, you deserve it. The location on Carbis Bay is excellent, you are close to the Coastal footpath to walk into St Ives and it’s worth the walk. The apartment is not too far from the big supermarket, so you can shop when you arrive. We will certainly stay at this gorgeous property again.

  Hers hide is a little gem the apartment has everything you needed for a self catering holiday and I mean everything the owners have really thought about what the apartment needs to make your holiday home from home even down to rain coats,the only one negative thing I would say is the bath screen only pushes inward so makes it extremely hard to reach taps and shower with out getting into bath first the conservatory is a lovely place to sit and watch The windsurfers the view is just stunning, the bed is really comfortable which is a massive plus with stunning views so nice to wake up to, the train station is only 10 minutes away the walk into st Ives takes about 45minutes from the apartment What an amazing place we will definitely want to stay here again thank you Steven and Linda *****

  We enjoyed our stay very much. Our only regret is that we didn’t/couldn’t book for 10 days, which should have been perfect. One small point was there was only one toilet roll provided, which we didn’t notice until we’d almost run out. Tesco and a Costcutter, which are nearby, proved useful. Some of the apartments are owner occupied. The natives were friendly! We spoke with Sykes 2 or 3 times. They were very professional and helpful.

• "Management of Carbis Bay Holidays and the Owners of Huers Hide are to be applauded for providing everything one would need in an exceptionally well furnished and well equipped property."

  A nice set of sharp knives and cooking equipment was a pleasure to use. The location is quiet with breathtaking views over the bay. A short walk of ten minutes gives access to the local rail network. We took advantage of this, left the car in the park and travelled by train on day trips to St Ives, Truro and Penzance.   Off the beaten track of Carbis Bay but within 5 minutes’ walk from the station. It is better equipped than our own home - the owners have thought of everything. You will have trouble dragging yourself out of the conservatory - the view, all the way to Godrevy Island, is fantastic. This was our second visit and we'll definitely be back next year. "

  However, the view and comfort of the apartment made this an absolute pleasure. In fact, we struggled to tear ourselves away from the conservatory and the view of Porth Kidney beach which was ever changing. Eating out was less attractive as we knew that view could not be beaten! We used the library of books and DVDs and loved the reading lamps. When we did venture out, the walks were superb with two beaches to choose from and also a walk to St Ives. "

  Everything you could possibly need was there. The bed was very comfortable, so much that we stayed in it and watched the sun rise some days. As for attractions we have been to most over the years so now we usually just do the coastal walks in and out of St Ives each day and have lunch in one the many restaurants there, this year we ate at Porthmeor Cafe, Ocean Grill, Cafe Coast, Balcony Bar, Beach Restaurant....all lovely food and wines. A good job we did so many miles on the coastal path to walk off all the food!" A. & K. Redfern

• ""What's the first word we can say WOW!"

  The apartment was everything it said on the website and more. The view was to die for The conservatory certainly made the apartment we spent most of our time in there. It was the best equipped self catering apatment we have ever stayed in.The interior was tastefully done comfortable and practical, the telescope was a bonus and proved fruitful as we spotted seals in the bay.The information in the apartment was very detailed and useful.The coastal path to St Ives is good walk very up and down but the views are definitely worth the effort. We ate at Mermaids in S Ives, Sea Food Cafe, both gave suberb meals. We visited St. Michaels Mount, Lands End the Eden Project and the Seal Sanctuary. Overall a great holiday we will return." G. & M.   Huers Hide, a stunning place, The views, the sea, the sky, the space. Lapping waves caress the sand, Soothing sounds float all around. Opalescent glistening sea, It is the only place to be. Little specs across the bay, Are people walking through the day. A vast expanse of golden sands, Where couples amble holding hands. Breezes waft away your stresses, Ruffling hair and blowing dresses. Dipping toes in crystal blue, Foaming edges hugging you. The warmth embraces everyone, You feel at peace the tensions gone. Seagulls circle catching air, Swooping down without a care.
