The property

Lavender Cottage is a superbly styled and renovated semi-detached stone cottage in a leafy rural spot, just 1.6 miles from the buzzing coastal village of St Agnes, only a 5 minute walk down the coastal path to the nearest beach.

Set down a private country lane in the grounds of the owners’ home and one other holiday home, it boasts both contemporary style and character.

The accommodation is family friendly with conservatory dining room, good sized modern kitchen with range, utility room and WC.

The separate sitting room has a wood burner, beams and comfy sofas for social gatherings, with stairs up to the first floor.

There are three bedrooms, the master with an en-suite shower room, plus shiny family bathroom with roll top bath.

There is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture at the front, and at the rear is the lawn with BBQ, 5 acres of shared meadow, woodland and pond for walks with four legged and two legged friends.

Located almost equidistant between St Agnes and Porthtowan beach, Lavender Cottage is spoilt for choice of coastal and country venues.

Trevaunance Cove and Porth Chapel beaches both make a fabulous playground for fun in the sea; take lessons with the surf school, hire a kayak or go rock-pooling.

Ramble the stunning coast path and discover engine houses, the legends and heritage of bygone days.

Pack a picnic or enjoy Cornish fayre at one of the inns or beach cafes aside the sea.

St Agnes has shops for provisions if you fancy getting creative on the barbecue, and galleries for browsing.

The cobbled city of Truro with impressive cathedral has a cinema and theatre, guaranteed to fix that retail itch.

Walk along the river at Malpas or watch the kids play in the park as you sit with a cool drink in a waterside inn.

For families seeking a country escape close to the coast, Lavender Cottage makes the ideal choice throughout the year.
