  • "This was an ideal place to stay with my elderly parents."

Although we had initially been disappointed as we couldn’t find suitable accommodation at the coast, The Dairy appealed to us due to the extensive & beautiful gardens. From the first day we realised that being inland was, in fact, a blessing. An oasis of cool tranquility away from the crowds at the coast. Perfect.

Dear Sarah. Thank you so much for yor review - it really is appreciated and we are delighted that you all had a comfortable time with us. Paul and Jenny Property Owner

A beautiful, comfortable cottage set in stunning grounds. Owners, Paul and Jenny were very kind and welcoming, always on hand if we needed anything or had any questions. It was the perfect spot for exploring Cornwall, we love the beaches, shops and restaurants at Newquay - perfect for body boarding. Crantock beach is well worth a visit. We also travelled to Padstow and explored other beaches near there. The Dairy is decorated lovely through out, we particularly love the stable door. It has everything you need, the bathrooms are very clean and modern, the beds are really comfortable; I actually slept in ! We will most definitely be returning in the future. Many thanks

  • "We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at The Dairy."

The owners Paul and Jenny kept us well informed before check in, and the cottage itself was immaculate, full of character and perfect for our 2 young boys to explore along with the acres of grounds. It had everything we needed whilst there, and is situated within 20 minutes of Newquay and then only slightly further to a number of the other main beaches in Cornwall. Would 100% recommend and very much hope to return. Thank you!

  • "The Dairy is exactly what was advertised, there were no hidden disappointments."

The cottage is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Externally the grounds are both extensive and truly delightful, on a nice sunny day it is easy to whittle away time whilst allowing your imagination to run riot about just where you are. We wandered around several times and on each occasion noticed something new. For us the location was ideal, the feeling that you are miles from anywhere but in realty are ideally situated within easy striking distance of all the sights and attractions Cornwall has to offer. If we had to single out one thing that made our stay memorable it would be the personal attention and interaction of both Paul and Jenny, we have stayed at many excellent properties over the years but what makes this one so special is all down to the personal attention and kindness Paul and Jenny, you got the feeling that your experience, both at the Dairy and in wider Cornwall really mattered to them. P S don't believe this is your first season doing this.

Owners Paul and Jenny were extremely helpful. Prior to arriving Paul was in excellent communication with us making sure we had all the details to order our firelogs ready for the log burner. We have a baby and he kindly took photos of the highchair and cot to ensure we were happy with these. Our actual stay was perfect. The cottage is ideally situated to visit many parts of Cornwall and well equipped. We cannot wait to return very soon hopefully!! Many Thanks Paul and Jenny. Vicki, Richard, Connall and Lottie

  • "The Dairy was superb."

Every facility, utensil etc you could need. Our hosts were there if needed but very unobtrusive. At home we live right on the beach in Eastbourne so it was so relaxing to stay in the Dairy which was so quiet, relaxing and no seagulls. Summer court was an ideal place to stay as it was so close to get to most other Cornwall places although we were more than happy to stay on site most of the time.

  • "Absolute gem of a property and truly wonderful owners who could not have been more friendly and helpful."

Sykes were generally very good until it came to asking simple questions. Just to know if the property had fans required calling and being on hold for 45mins. They then had to put me on hold whilst they contacted the owner. Luckily they answered. I don’t understand why this is the only option for such a standard process. There isn’t even an email option. This lack of standard customer service seems to let both the owners and us customers down.

As you continue around the room, the inviting sitting area is revealed, with the woodburning stove sitting in the original inglenook fireplace; the focal point of this room.

The high ceilings are a striking element to this room and the picture windows affords a constant connection with the outside in, with the seating arrangement making a cosy spot for tuning into the TV, with the tranquil crackle of the woodburning stove in the background.

Return to the hallway and take a left into the first bedroom, consisting of twin beds, decorated with several touches of a nautical theme and its own en-suite shower room.

Concluding the interior is the master bedroom, where a sumptuous super kingsize bed awaits you after a bracing day along the coastline and an en-suite, where you can savour a relaxing moment in the bathtub.

If you can tear yourself away from this pretty oasis, venture into the village of Summercourt, where you will find a shop for picking up the essentials and a pub, while even more amenities can be found within the surrounding area.

Beachcombers and families can look forward to a scenic drive west to Newquay, where you can sample excellent rolling surf on the famous Fistral Beach with opportunities for lessons, board hire and wet suits if you do not have your own!
