  • "Oven temperature needs attention as takes 10min to reach 150c anything over this heat over cooks food."

Both vacuum cleaners could do with maintenance. The main sink in kitchen flowed very slowly so a couple of kettles boiling water helped release the flow. Maybe sink unblocker would help. T V in second lounge not connecting. We had a lovely time. Rosie enjoyed the garden. Good walks to Crinnis beach.

Very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Great location too with just a 15 minute walk into Charlestown or the opposite way to Crinnis beach. Highly recommend a stay at Polkerris View.

  • "Enjoyed our stay at Polkeris View ,we have booked for the same two weeks again next year Found the accommodation very clean and comfortable ."

Impressed with the amount of crockery and cooking equipment. Both the beach at Carlyon Bay and Charlestown are easy to walk to. Would be good to have blinds in the smaller lounge and a revamp of the drive to make turning round easier would help.

  • "This is the second time we have stayed in this lovely spacious bungalow this year."

We love the area . Great for families with games room and enclosed garden , safe for dogs too. Over all clean and comfortable, clean white sheets and towels. Everything you need to enjoy your stay. Unfortunately the smell of mould in the main bedroom was overwhelming, this was not noticed in our earlier stay. There was mould all along the wall under the window and drawing the curtains one morning I noticed that the curtain linings had mould from the hem to the heading tapes, also small amounts of mould on blackouts. We were lucky with the weather and able to leave windows open otherwise we would not have been able to sleep in that room. Other things requiring some attention include , greasy oven with crumbs of food at the bottom, dirty light pulls in bathrooms . I always strip the beds for the cleaners before we leave and noticed stain on mattress protector, this made me look at the mattress and was shocked to see the amount of stains . I am amazed that no one else has noticed these problems especially your cleaners and am sorry it is me to bring this to your attention.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback. The issues raised are being addressed. Had we been made aware of the issues at the time of your stay, we would have done all we could to rectify things for you. Aside from this we are glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope that we can welcome you back to the property again. Property Owner

A must if you have a dog. The location is great for visiting all the places we love to see in Cornwall and within walking distance of dog friendly Carlyon Beach. Off street parking was a welcome convenience. Internally we found the bungalow to be well equipped and clean and appreciated the cream tea waiting for us on arrival after a long journey. We were also pleased that we were within a few minutes drive of Tesco and Lidl supermarkets. The only complaint we can make is that the master bedroom was very cold and didn't hold the heat after heating was put on, and the smoke alarm in the kitchen was broken. BUT, all in all, we were very comfortable in Polkerris and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will certainly consider a revisit in the future. We can recommend this holiday hone wholeheartedly.

The private enclosed garden is good for children and dogs. Towels, bedding and place in general very clean, just a few things , some baking trays rather sticky perhaps need changing. Would have been nice not to have to empty hoover before we used it as it was full to the brim with dust. The short but steep walk to beach and Charlestown are worth doing, both 10 minutes walk. Looking forward to Sept 23

There was a nice welcome pack plus fresh flowers there on our arrival which was appreciated. Could do with clear instructions regarding putting the bins out and that was our only problem. Unfortunately due to the pandemic restrictions, our holiday was not as good as we would have liked. Some places remained closed and others needed booking too far in advance. This affected me more than most due to being in a wheelchair (most of the time) which limits the choice of where to go.

The bungalow is well equipped, very clean and is in a great location. Two large supermarkets are within a mile and half and can be easily reached on foot. The nearby village of Charlestown is beautiful and has plenty of good places to eat, all within walking distance. The bungalow is very close to the south coast footpath so plenty of of opportunities for great walks. We've had a lovely time and didn't need to venture far. Eden is just round the corner as are beaches, gin tasting experiences, coffee shops etc. Definitely worth staying here.

  • "Hello, We have mixed views of this holiday house."

The location was great for us and suited our needs. Close to the beach for walking our dogs and several good restaurants in the local area. The house however is very tired and needs a thorough clean and some tlc. We did not use the shower in the en suite due to the mould around the rubber seals. The kitchen and utility were definitely in need of a thorough clean. The dining table was filthy and took 15 minutes of cleaning before we were happy to use it . The skirting boards in most rooms were filthy. The oven gloves were filthy , stained and greasy. The "games room" ( converted garage) has no heating , an uneven floor and stank of damp and sewers. We were unable to use it .There was no remote for the DVD player. The clocks had no batteries . The kitchen scales did not work. The fire did not work. The lock on the patio doors was broken and could only be locked using the top lock which involved me climbing on a chair to reach it. The bedding and towels were clean. Overall we did enjoy Devon but would not book this particular property again.

  • "A spacious well equipped comfortable holiday home, only a few minor niggles the electric shower control knobs in the en-suite are seized and cannot be adjusted , the single beds are not as comfortable as the king sized bed, all the sheets are not big enough for the beds and come out at night especially the single beds (fitted type recommended ), recommend a private bin collection as local authority system does not work well with holiday letting as our many years of experience with other holiday lets has revealed."

The broadband wifi is barely 5Mb this really is too low for todays expectations for this quality of property , streaming and multiple use is limited and frustrating (up to 50Mb available in the area). Fantastic garden with lots of bird life but no shade (sun parasole or similar would be useful ) when the sun has been as hot as it has this last two weeks. Games room a definite bonus for distraction purposes. Local hotel only open in the evening for meals, walk to Charlestown is rugged and not suitable for mobility impared, also no pavements to speak of. Beach is a longer walk than you think especially coming back uphill, £2 to park all day up till 5pm then free. Disabled can park at the beach with the arrangements of the attendants with a valid blue badge (I found out too late). Portable fans would be useful as an extra for hot weather I bring my own just in case and several properties are now providing them. The extra drinks fridge was an item I want at home now we can chill bottles of pop and wine standing up as well as beers cans etc. All in all a great property in a good location for lots of attractions , meals locally excellent although pricey a trip to Polgooth Inn a must (tight roads).

Very well equipped, everything anyone could need. Spacious and relaxing especially the snug, I loved it. Sorry there was no telescope as shown in the advertisement for the cottage which was a let down for us, as we would have brought our binoculars if we had know it was not included. I cannot fault this bungalow other than the telescope. Perfect holiday for people able to get down the 83 steps to the beach. If disabled then perfect for wheelchair access as long as you do not want to go to this beach. This in no way criticises Kerris as a lovely holiday accommodation if you are aware of the steps to the beach. Loads of patio tables and chairs. Dishwasher, 2 fridges, 1 freezer, microwave, cooker, toaster, washing machine and dryer. We loved it and would book again.
