  • "We were so well looked after at Moonshine."

Really cosy cottage with good wifi. It's a superb location with views from the hillside across the Tamar Valley back towards Devon. We loved exploring the paths nearby and the Tamar Trails across the Gunnislake bridge. The village pub is brilliant too. We'd love to return next year!

  • "Really enjoyed our stay at Moonshine."

Very dog friendly - pack of treats, towels etc provided, a small enclosed yard at the back and the very friendly owners offered to look after our two dogs for the evening if required. Lovely views and a very good pub at the bottom of the track leading to the cottage (200 yards). Tea, coffee, milk, jam, biscuits and a bottle of wine were all provided for our arrival. We would definitely book again.

  • "We enjoyed a lovely time at Moonshine, was met by Jean (owner) on arrival and she gave us lots of information about the property and and area."

The property itself was lovely, very comfortable and had a special charm. There was a lovely, generous, welcome pack for us and also our Bella, There was a little enclosed outside space that was perfect for a 4 legged member of the family, also the use of the fields on the property to let off steam. We met Ben during the week, who again was full of information, a lovely couple who added to the charm of Moonshine. The paddle stairs are very different, certainly unique, by the end of the week, we were used to them, but if you do have have mobility problems, will be an issue. The local pub, literally a 2 minute walk away does fantastic food, I would recommend that it would be a good idea to book up before coming away as very popular. To sum up, Moonshine is a gorgeous little cottage with a special charm, very comfortable and the views are unbelievable.

  • "This is a lovely, cosy cottage in an idyllic village setting with a beautifully furnished interior and lots of lovely touches."

It has stunning views of the Tamar Valley and across to Dartmoor. Perfectly located for exploring the valley, the moors and further afield into both Devon and Cornwall, and plenty of nearby walking and cycling trails. The owners Jean and Ben were lovely - warm, friendly and welcoming. The picnic table in the owners’ field adjacent to the cottage is a perfect spot for enjoying the views, watching the local wildlife and birds and for star gazing. We had a blissfully relaxing two week stay at Moonshine.

  • "Lovely little cottage in a very picturesque location."

There was a lovely little welcome hamper on arrival for us and the dogs. Very clean and cosy. Perfect for the dogs and has an enclosed little courtyard partly undercover. Lots of wildlife around, we saw a deer out the front on our first night which was amazing and could hear owls at night. It was the perfect base to explore the Tamar Valley, Dartmoor and was close to several seaside resorts.

  • "The owners were there to greet us and welcome us to our home for the week."

There was a lovely welcome pack for us and the dogs. The owners were on hand if we needed anything and also looked after our dogs when we went out for a few hours. The accommodation was lovely and the little touches made it feel like home, such as liquid soap, quality toilet rolls, washing up stuff and washing pods. A great stay and would consider another stay in the future.
