  • "Lovely cottage with everything there you could want on your stay."

Property owner even offered to book a table at a local pub and taxi to get there when we told him the one down the path wasn't serving food at the weekend of our stay!! Would defo stay again if in that area.

Friendly and helpful host . Road is extremely tight turning into and from unmade road where property is situated .

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. With regard to the turning and access, we regularly have deliveries made by much larger vehicles, ie oil tankers and supermarket refrigerated vans with no issues. Property Owner

Access to village & cottage roads very narrow & tight bends upto cottage on unmade road, don’t have a large car it can be difficult to manoeuvre about

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the lanes leading up to the property and in the surrounding areas are out of the owner's and Sykes' control. We would always recommend researching a local area to make sure it is suitable for you, however we do hope you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Helpful owners when we realised tin opener and hair dryer didnt work."

We didn't realise how very isolated this cottage was in terms of tiny extremely steep and narrow lanes. Probably we would stay in a bigger village next time.

Thank you for your feedback. The owners have confirmed the items were replaced as quickly as possible and were happy to help. I am sorry the area was not quite what you were looking for. This property receives many lovely comments about the location and scenery and also things to do nearby but we would always recommend local research to make sure an area is suitable for you. We hope you enjoyed your stay otherwise. Property Owner

This was a last minute booking to explore Cornwal Devon and it worked well as reasonably close to Good road network but this was just before 17th May so roads very quite and attractions empty which suited us .really close to a good local pub

  • "For the type of holiday we wanted this cottage fitted the bill perfectly."

it was private, it was clean, it was finished to a very high spec with a fabulous shower [although my wife struggled to switch it on and off ]- a well equipped kitchen and a very comfortable lounge with TV, DVD player and a good range of DVDs a CD player with a good range of CDs and a light and airy bedroom. We enjoyed a whole day on the private decking. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us some sound advice but were never in our face. The cottage was centrally positioned for a tour of all the eastern side of Cornwall and the views over the Tamar Valley were to die for. Our only problem was the reception on the TV - sometimes it was impossible to watch it. I would have thought that if we had reported it even that would have been rectified but it didn't bother us a lot - we can watch TV in the house. Overall a very pleasant week was had and if we came to this area again we would return to this cottage.

The published directions take you through very narrow lanes and there are no visible signs for Chilsworthy. Other than this minor comment the peace and tranquillity that the cottage and views offer are memorable and Rob and Jane are the perfect hoasts, a five star experience.
