  • "Spotlessly clean house with comfortable furnishing."

However the owner’s information book was lacking useful information regarding some of the equipment and useful tips re disposal of recycling and glass.

Thank you for your feedback. In order for us to maintain our high standards would you be able to provide more information. Which equipment lacked information? What was the issue with the accuracy of the listing? You gave a 50% review for facilities, so what would have achieved a higher number? Finally, you stated that the furnishings were comfortable but we only achieved a mark of 75%. Please respond in order for us to make the necessary tweaks. We do hope you enjoyed your time in Penzance and do hope you will return in the future. Property Owner

Very comfortable, location is great and it is obvious the owner really cares about her guests with the amenities provided. Would highly recommend this as a great holiday home for anyone wishing to explore West Cornwall or visiting Penzance.

  • "Absolutely loved our stay at Regent Mews."

The property is the perfect location for exploring Penzance and although no designated parking we had no issue finding a spot close by. The property itself was clean and tidy upon arrival with welcome treats for us and our dog. The bed was a bit to firm for my liking (prefer a soft mattress) but my partner found it comfortable. Overall, highly recommend and will definitely be booking Regent Mews again

  • "Absolutely perfect location and wonderful place to stay."

Home had everything we needed and such a great space for our family. There was an overwhelming smell of dog especially in the main bedroom and a lot of white balls of dog hair in the living room and all in the fold out yellow sofa bed. We don’t have dogs so that was the only thing we found disappointing. Parking each day was easy on nearby streets, communication from owner was also great. Already recommended & thank you for a fabulous break.

We are pleased you enjoyed Regents Mews location, the house is superb for families, children & couples, thank you for recommending us already! We are sorry to hear of the 'dog smell' & have since been made aware that previous guests had 2 large dogs & therefore we have taken the decision to no longer allow medium to large dogs into the property. Whilst this is disappointing for some dog owners we cannot allow a situation like this to happen again. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience Property Owner

Fantastic location, handy for shops, pubs and restaurants. Parking is challenging but that's the same for everyone! Penzance is fantastic - very friendly and lots of places to take your dogs. Willl be back both to both the cottage and Penzance! Thanks do much.

  • "Super spot to explore Penzance and surrounding area."

Arrived by train and used public transport, both bus and train to explore. Worked a treat and saved the hassle of parking and driving. The mews was easy to find, clean, comfortable and quiet. No nasty niffs. Lots of lovely places to eat within easy walking distance and several small supermarkets near-by. A teapot and information/facilities for recycling/ rubbish disposal would have been useful.

  • "We loved this vacation rental."

It was so spacious and the location was convenient to everything! The only downside is the lack of parking, but it was easy to park in the long-term lot by the marina. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to Penzance! We enjoyed poking around the town and walking over to Mousehole. Recommend a meal at the Admiral Benbow, too! One piece of feedback we do have is that there is a noticeable odor of cat urine in the living/dining room. We were unable to figure out where exactly the spot was, and opening the windows improved things greatly, but you might want to get in there with a black light and figure out where some kitty decided to mark their territory.

We are delighted you enjoyed Penzance & the surrounding area so much and agree there are some wonderful places to eat and visit only a few minutes walk away from the property. Our housekeeper contacted us about the odour the day you vacated the property and immediately set to work cleaning walls, skirting boards and the sofas in readiness for our next guests. We have a no cat policy so were very surprised to have noticed this the day you left. The house was spotless on your arrival and we recieved no communication during your stay about any odour and we are very lucky that our housekeeper is a local who takes much pride in making the property perfect for each stay. Im pleased to say the guests who were at the property previously and subsequently have not experienced an odour and therefore the house is once again spotless. As an additional precaution we have treated the floor, furniture and skirting boards with a pet stain and odour remover which contains pro bacteria producing enzymes to eliminate any odour and prevent any future well behaved pets from 'marking their territory'. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the property exceeded our expectations. The thoughtful gesture of milk in the refrigerator was a wonderful touch after a long, delayed and round about journey to Penzance.

  • "Whilst we didn’t have the best experience booking through Sykes directly, this was an absolutely brilliant stay."

A beautiful and well equipped property with a very comfortable bed and powerful shower. Perfect location for getting around on foot around Penzance and Mounts Bay Area. Parking was not an issue for us but we were visiting out of season. My husband was able to work from home and take video calls without any issues. We felt well informed by the property owner and able to contact her if any problems or questions. We stayed for a month and we only wish it was longer! We would love to come back.

Well equipped. The only drawback is the internet speed. 2 people at the same time ( some times even 1) joining video calls wasn't possible. I had to use 4G on the 2nd floor. I wouldn't bet to work remotely from the cottage if you need to join calls.

Owner had put up Christmas decorations including a tree and lights which was a lovely touch. Ideally situated in the middle of town everything was just a short walk away. Everything needed was in the flat and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay again and recommend to our friends.

Who doesn't love a Christmas tree! Thank you for your kind words and we're pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back, and your friends too. Property Owner

Loved the tasteful decor. Well-equipped Kitchen and such comfy beds. We arrived by train at Penzance Station and it was a 15 minute walk to the appartment. A 5 minute walk to the promenade and so many lovely cosy pubs/restaurants on your doorstep. Company/owners was very communicative throughout. Would highly recommend this property.

  • "The property and facilities were excellent, very comfortable and homely."

I have arthritis and have great difficulty in walking on uneven surfaces and steep hills. I feel it would be advisable in the property details to highlight that the property sits at the top of a steep hill and most access to the promendae level requires climbing very steep hills or steps. This was the only negative aspect of our stay. Lovely contemporary interior design !

Thank you for your feedback on the property and we are pleased you enjoyed the home comforts of Regents Mews. Penzance is synonymous with cobbled streets and is quite hilly which is part of its charm but we agree difficult if you have trouble walking Property Owner

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay at Regents Mews, the property is perfectly placed to enjoy the benefits of being in the centre of town but without the bustle and noise."

Inside it is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable with everything you'd require, and we loved the open-plan downstairs living space. The lack of parking was mentioned in previous reviews and made clear in the listing. It was a bit of a struggle to find places to leave the car, but we did manage to arrive in the midst of the Golowan Festival! We had a wonderful time, thank you.

We are peased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your kind words. Glowan Festival celebrates the Summer Solstice and with street closures across the town parking over this weekend is particularly challenging. That being said its a highlight of the year and we hope you enjoyed the festivities, music, parades, street stalls and performers which make it so magical. Property Owner

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head.
