    Very comfortable and immaculate with amazing views from the rising of the sun to sunset. Location of the hot tub is perfect for privacy, sheltered from wind and again sunshine over it all day.. perfect ..

Location of the hot tub is perfect for privacy, sheltered from wind and again sunshine over it all day.. perfect .. The location is perfect for coastal walks, especially lizard point and Lands End .. 19 miles drive to Lizard. Mike the owner is very pleasant and offered assistance to any queries we had. Which were none. A beautiful mini break, well needed.. Thankyou. Debbie and Steve.

With views of rolling fields and positioned in the peaceful village of Playing Place, Spires is a superb first-floor apartment for a couple's romantic retreat to Cornwall.

Settled within the grounds of the owner's home, Spires boasts a bright, open-plan layout, illuminated by large feature windows providing an idyllic backdrop.

This fabulous Cornish touring base is accessed via an external staircase up to the first floor, with a small patio space at the top with outdoor seating.

Head into the contemporary open-plan living space following a day of fun, sinking into the large white corner sofa and flicking on the TV, or simply admiring the views while the stylish woodburning stove gets going.

Step across the engineered oak wood flooring to the sleek and glossy kitchen in hues of bright green and grey, amply equipped for its size, with everything you need to rustle up tasty meals for two, and a washing machine and dishwasher.

A dining table presents an intimate spot to enjoy your meals and make plans for the following days.

Head through to the fabulous bedroom to find a double bed along with a mirrored dressing table with built in hair dryer, and a mirrored wardrobe, leading into a spacious en-suite wet room featuring a rainfall shower, heated towel rail, basin and WC.

The village of Playing Place is a fantastic touring base for seeing a whole host of Cornwall's delights, with the village itself home to a local shop and petrol station, with the nearest pubs found in nearby Carnon Downs.

For those who enjoy being within beautiful nature, visit the National Trust's Trelissick Garden situated on a scenic estate along with an art gallery, riverside woodland walking paths and a café, with another National Trust gem found further south, the subtropical Glendurgan Garden home to exotic plants and ancient trees with a hedge maze.

Meet some new friends on your couples adventure by visiting the lovable Llama Land in Shortlanesend, set on a 140-acre farm, you can walk through the farm, explore the woodland and take llama on a walk through the tranquil surroundings, or head up to Newquay to visit Newquay Zoo which has a wealth of residents from lions to otters!

Enjoy exploring the coast with the nearest beach being Loe Beach, with shingle shores it's a popular spot for watersports with lessons in paddle-boarding, kayaking, sailing and powerboating, as well as equipment hire too, or for softer sands head down to Falmouth to Swanpool Beach and Gyllyngvase Beach.

Falmouth is home to a host of cafés, restaurants and pubs, along with more attractions like Pendennis Castle, Pendennis Point, National Maritime Museum Cornwall, and the lively harbour where you can book exciting trips with the likes of Falmouth Fishing Trips.

Truro 3.5 miles; Falmouth 8 miles.

The lovely Cornish village of Carnon Downs offers a shop, Post Office and pub. Not too far away is the village of Portreath with its sandy beach, whilst the city of Truro and the popular town of Falmouth are within easy reach by car as is the north and south coastline with its sandy beaches, ideal for those wishing to surf or walk the coastpath. Fans of classic cars will enjoy a visit to Perranwell Station which gives you the opportunity to hire a Morgan car for the day. Also nearby in the Bissoe Valley is Bissoe Bike Hire where you can hire a bike and enjoy the sights of the old mining works and beautiful wooded valleys as you cycle coast to coast from Portreath to Devoran or just enjoy a snack in the café. Cornwall’s only city, Truro has a magnificent cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum, the Hall for Cornwall, which is a theatre and concert venue, as well as a number of shops, pubs and restaurants. In Falmouth you will find a natural harbour - the third largest in the world. Here you will find boat trips up the Carrick Roads, safe beaches, the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle, which was built by Henry VIII and is the town’s most popular attraction. For garden lovers, there is not only The Lost Gardens of Heligan, but Trelissick, Trebah and Glendurgan, all of which are nearby. A short trip across the King Harry Ferry will take you to the beautiful Roseland Peninsular which is well worth a visit.
