I will be back. Quiet, clean, comfy, well insulated even when the wind gets up to 50 mph. Enjoyed several stunning walks in local area plus lots of things to make use of my National Trust membership. The cream tea, milk, biscuits and newly added tea towel to welcome pack was an extra nice touch. The sound of the waves at night certainly helped me sleep. I need to record them for when I get home.

Easy access to walking and driving to lots of different locations for exploring. Property allows for proper holiday mode, relaxing whilst listening to the ocean. Great view from all the windows and washing up has never been so easy. I had everything I needed. Seating and bed was comfy. Star gazing at night. So peaceful and I think I had the whole building to myself for most of the week. Getting stuff up and down the stairs was worth the effort. Communal areas and grounds well looked after. I've had a lovely holiday and would use Apartment 17 again. Missing the view and sounds of the wind and ocean. Very jealous of owner of the flat. My dream kind of home. Thanks

  • "It really is simply perfect."

The apartment is lovely, being well equipped and thoughtfully laid out. . In winter it has a nice cosy feel and I should imagine in summer with the balcony doors open it would be light and airy. Brilliant extra touches such as binoculars, telescope and coffee machine mean a lot too. The apparent was spotless on arrival and the gift on the table was nice. The views ... well!! To have one window with such a view is a real bonus. To have every window offering such a wonderful backdrop one wonders that maybe if this apartment doesn’t have the best views in the country, at least there’s none that afford better. And a balcony too!!. I genuinely have fallen in love with apartment 17 Coverack Headland, the owners have an absolute peach. It’s remote and unspoilt location , cleanliness of the building and excellent maintenance of the grounds complete what is possibly the most one sided uncritical feedback review I’ve ever been able to provide. Thank you

Despite arriving during Storm Arwen, we were very warm and appreciated the complimentary scones and drinks left for our arrival. The new coffee machine was an added bonus. The views from the windows and balcony were incredible and we were able to watch gannets and dolphins from our viewpoint. We even had a young kestrel land on the balcony railing. There was a good assortment of crockery, glasses and cooking equipment, as well as binoculars and a telescope provided. The apartment had recently been redecorated, and the whole place felt clean and welcoming. We will hopefully return in the near future.

The apartment was lovely with everything we needed. The only thing that would have made it better would have been for a wetsuit drying shed as part of the complex - or somewhere under cover to hang our neoprene - there were quite a few swimmers staying in the apartments generally so maybe something to consider at your next meeting. Loved the boot trays at the bottom of the stairs - so useful.

  • "One of the best equipped cottages we have stopped in."

To improve it the TV should be on a bracket on the wall above where the dining table is. This would give access to the window with the stunning view towards Falmouth. Do everyone a favour and replace the worlds most uncomfortable sofa with a new one ! Even a couple of beanbags would be better than that.

Thank you for your feedback. We will investigate wall mounting the TV by the dining table to release the window space. The apartment will be redecorated and equipped in half term week this October. With 18 months of COVID associated delays and delivery complications, it has been challenging to secure new items to replace the old. We apologise for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you to an improved apartment. UPDATE: We've now redecorated the lounge and there is new furniture and a change of sofa! • "The apartment was dirty when we arrived."

It is quite small and the equipment very old and tired. The view from the balcony is fabulous and we were lucky with the weather so spent a lot of time out there. The bedroom is roomy, comfortable and has sea views. The shower however is dreadful. Fixed to the side wall and filthy on top. And between the cushions of the old leather 2 seater sette is goodness knows how many months/years worth of crumbs and unidentifiable detritus. Very off putting. The previous tenants had left dirty crockery and cutlery which all had to be washed before use. These are basics which the cleaners should check at every changeover.

We apologise that standards were not as we would have liked them to be on this occasion. We’ve had a recent change in housekeeping and there was a slight delay getting up to speed with the expected standards. We are redecorating and renewing furnishings this October half term, the shower has already been replaced. As you are aware, when you raised these issues with us we tried very hard to resolve, including an out of hours call out for the repair of the bath panel because you did not like the alignment. UPDATE: We've now redecorated the lounge and there is new furniture and a change of sofa. Property Owner

Beautiful, cozy apartment with spectacular views. Very clean and lots of added extras such as a telescope and binoculars with which to spy all the wildlife around the headland. There was also a lovely welcome pack which included a cream tea! The only drawback was that the bedroom backs onto the kitchen/living area of the next apartment and unfortunately for us the people in there were quite noisy some nights and kept me awake.

  • "1) Regarding the property, it is a lovely property and the location and views are excellent which really make this apartment so desirable (this is our fourth visit!"

). However, although perfectly adequate in most respects, there are a couple of changes that should be considered for improvement. The new 32" TV is perfect for an apartment of this size, but it dominates the space by a picture window with lovely views towards Falmouth. It would be a great improvement if the TV were to be hung from the wall above the dining table on a hinged bracket - this would free up the window space to take an easy chair such as is in the bedroom, which gives much pleasure with the superb ever-changing views. Secondly, the two-seater settee, although adequate, is far from comfortable for extended periods, particularly for those with back problems. 2) Regarding the main (hotel) building, a small luggage lift / dumb waiter would make life far easier to take baggage up and down the two storeys to the apartment, especially for elderly or infirm visitors. 3) Regarding Sykes, the company was very helpful in obtaining Covid 19 precautions being taken within the apartment and communal areas, however we were continually bombarded with emails relating to additional bookings, before, during and after our holiday. Please refrain from doing this as it simply detracts from the already booked holiday - far too much information and unwanted irritations. I'm afraid to say that it's a big "turn off" from using Sykes again. However, we did thoroughly enjoy our holiday.

Thanks for your feedback. A program of renovations and replacement is underway, including a possible TV relocation. I’m afraid installation of a lift is impossible. Property Owner

I would most definitely recommend it. The only criticism I have is that it is on the 2nd floor with no lift which made getting our suitcases etc up & down very difficult as both my husband & myself have health problems & he has mobility problems - I feel the lack of a lift should be made clear on the booking website. That said, I would still return in the future but would probably change how I pack.

We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the world go by, from walkers along the coastal path, to surfers and bathers on the beach in the small cove below, to yachts and ships out in Falmouth Bay. Coverack is also a lovely little village with a couple of excellent cafes, a pub, fish and chip shop, gift shops, and a couple of restaurants. There is a lively programme of events during the summer and we attended the village fete one afternoon, which was a pleasant way to spend an hour or two. We were there during the week of 9th-16th August when it was Pirate and Mermaid week, with the village fete, regatta, photo exhibition, and Pisky Trail, so lots of different things for all ages. Although the apartment is not very big, it was very comfortable, perfect for 2. Biscuits, tea, coffee, milk and flowers were gratefully received. We swam in the sea, on the private beach - was a little chilly in early May. Most days we walked (15 mins) into the very quaint fishing village of Coverack with cafes, pub, fish and chip shop, small grocery shop and gift shops.
