  • "Great apartment, we would definitely stay again."

We like the fact that the kitchen facilities are all good brands and no expense was spared. The only slight, but not bad, issue was the duvet was not really large enough for the bed, so when both people are sleeping, the duvet didn't quite reach the sides. Thankfully it was warm. Other than that, the apartment was absolutely lovely, and the little pack of tea/coffee etc was a really nice touch, and wow, what a view!

  • "Very enjoyable stay."

Property was lovely with great views. Only criticism was the smell from the main bathroom (not sure if drain issue). Otherwise perfect

  • "Overall apartment was really well kept with great views."

Apartment was quiet dusty in the bedrooms especially around the windows. There is a very unpleasant smell coming from the larger bathroom which is a waste type smell. This meant we did not use that bathroom and kept the door shut at all times. The door to the kitchen and living room area slams shut so could do with a catch fitted or a door stop provided. Great welcome box on arrival and all essentials were provided.

  • "Our second stay in the apartments and it proved to be as good as the first."

The only minor complaint we had was the smell from the waste pipes in both bathrooms, really pungent odour on some days. Overall though another enjoyable stay in a well appointed apartment. We will certainly be staying again.

  • "Sykes and management team excellent when I had a problem with sleeping on the first few nights due to birds (or other small animals) scratching on the roof of the property (we were on the top floor)."

Knowing the whole of the other 8 flats were vacant the week we were there the property management asked the owners if we could move to another flat on the floor below, the owner refused this request. Very disappointed at this as it had spoilt the holiday having no sleep for a couple of nights. Again very disappointed with the owners as this had been our third stay at this property.

  • "Our 2nd and most definitely not our last visit."

Fantastic views of our favourite place. Could have just stayed on sofa and balcony all day. Everything we needed in kitchen, cooked evening meals most days as we preferred being in apartment than eating out. So convenient for walking to beach and local shop in village. Planning next visits now for 2023.

  • "Great flat, great view, great location."

This should have been a 10/10! Let down by: No broadband/wifi - for such a 'fancy flat' I'd expect this as standard! Food storage - there are literally no cupboards to put food in! If you are planning on eating in and staying more than 2 days you will need to pile everything up on the bench and table!

  • "Couple of things."

The maintenance team rang to say that bath towels would be delivered some time in the evening, which was fine. Missing crockery - only 2 dishes and 1 desert spoon when there should be 4 - but again, this was resolved next day. We arrived at 15:30 only to be told that cleaning was in progress until 16:00. Your detail on this property reads 15:30 and you need to get this changed. Good quality apartment, beautiful view from the balcony and only 1km from the beach.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was well equipped and had everything that we needed."

The best part is the view from the balcony, it was amazing of the sea and the countryside. You also get really nice sunsets. The apartment is really well situated to walk into Crannock where you have two amazing pubs serving really nice food, the costal paths to enjoyed the walks including the seals and about 5 min walk from the apartment is a cut through straight to the beach. It was also perfect for taking a dog with a fenced off community area and seating. I would really recommend staying here thanks

  • "My husband and I had an excellent stay at appt no 9."

We did have an issue with the main door entry system. The last evening we arrived back at 10 p.m. and initially it wouldn’t work. What were we to do to get help? Fortunately after numerous attempts we gained entry. I can see this will become a real issue unless the entry system is professionally overhauled. Also the heating system was set at 15 degrees and under performed but as we had beautiful weather it wasn’t a significant problem. We will be back.

  • "Apartment was fine in general but the foul smell from the main bathroom meant we couldn't use it and had to keep the door shut."

Having rang Sykes a handyman came and said he couldn't fix the problem other than provide disinfectant and spray. Also in description it says fridge/freezer. It was actually just a fridge with a small freezer compartment. As we were having a shop delivered we were unable to store our frozen food. Other than that the tv was too small for the apartment. Just to add the view was lovely despite never getting the sun on the balcony due to position of the building. Could be 5 star but only 3/4 star from us.
