  • "We spent a wonderful week at Chynoweth over New Year."

As a family group of 5 adults, 2 children and a dog, we wanted a house where we could spend time relaxing together and Chynoweth was perfect for this. The living space allowed for us to all sit together comfortably with the log burner keeping us cosy or we could spread out around the dining table or breakfast table if we wanted to. The kitchen was extremely well equipped - a real home from home - which made preparing and cooking meals for everyone a breeze. The views are simply breathtaking and are ever changing depending on the weather. The house is ideally located at just a pleasant walk away from the village and the beach. Jessica, the owner, greeted us on arrival and provided us with a welcome pack including a delicious home made cake. She made sure that everything was ok for us, including the timings and temperature of the central heating, and we were confident that she would be on hand if we needed anything. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked a return visit before we had even left!

The owners are lovely, really helpful & accommodating. Extremely comfy beds & great facilities. Location is ideal for walking to local beaches, Crantock, Polly Joke & Holywell. Good base for visiting the other parts of Cornwall. Padstow & St Ives half hour drive away by car.

The view from the garden is stunning and plenty of walks & beach access pretty much on the doorstep. Communication with the owner (re access & meet & greet) was excellent and we arrived to a treat box, flowers and a beautiful cake. Would definitely stay here again

  • "Extremely comfortable property - great facilities and amazing views."

The house is very well equipped with comfy sofas, separate dining and breakfast areas and although the weather wasn’t great for sitting out, the patio at the back is perfectly positioned to enjoy the wonderful coast views with glass panels to keep off the wind. The downstairs big king size bedroom and en suite is perfect for those who might struggle with stairs and the new windows in the upstairs king bedroom provide huge amounts of light and beautiful views. Highly recommended.

  • "We had such a lovely stay at Chynoweth over New Year."

We visit Crantock regularly but this was the first time we had stayed at Chynoweth, and what a beautiful home to stay in. We were greeted by Jessica and David with an amazing home baked cake, a bottle of Fizz and fresh flowers which was lovely… so nice to meet the actual owners. The home and Garden was perfect for 4 Adults and 2 dogs. The house is spacious and maintained to a very high standard! Lovely and Clean, and very warm. Was perfect for us to spend time together as a family. Sea views are amazing!

  • "What a fantastic place!"

Perfect location, amazing views and spotlessly clean. The owners are just lovely - they were there to greet us and only a phone call away if we needed them (which we didn’t) There was also a comprehensive welcome pack which included a very tasty home made chocolate cake! The house has everything you need and more. The garden is huge which was much appreciated by our dogs. The new decking area on the back is the perfect place to sit with a glass of wine admiring the view. We would highly recommend Chynoweth and will be returning again when next in the area.

  • "Chynoweth was a lovely property."

We were a family of six adults and two dogs. The property is spacious and worked extremely well for us all. Lovely comfy beds, good powerful showers and a huge garden for the dogs to run around. The outstanding feature of the house is the amazing view straight out to sea over Crantock beach. I never tired of looking at it. The owners, Jessica and David were extremely hands on with their communication prior to our arrival and David met us on the actual day to show us round the property and explained where things were and how they worked. They also left lovely goodies on our arrival, including treats for the dogs, fresh flowers, and even a cake which went down wonderfully with a cup of tea after our long journeys! Such a lovely personal touch and completely unexpected. Super place and we would not hesitate to come back.

  • "The photos and description don't do the house justice - the location is rural and absolutely stunning."

You can see the waves rolling onto the beach from most rooms and there is access to the beach, dunes and SW Coastal Pathway via the field beside the house. All the amenities you could wish for are a walk/drive away, as are beautiful locations such as Crantock beach, Holywell, Polly Joke beach, Perran Sands, Cubert Common, Kelsey Heads. Our teenage children particulary enjoyed surfing down the dunes (at the end of the garden) and seal watching near Polly Joke. The locals are very welcoming and Crantock village, along with West Pentire, is small and quiet (in October at least!) The house itself is immaculate and well-organised. The showers are worth a mention as they are the best we have ever had in a rental! Everything is thought of, including supplies for the dog, and there was a chocolate cake to greet us which was well-received. We felt that all necessary measures had been taken regarding Covid 19. In retrospect, we were extremely lucky to have booked Cheynoweth due to a cancellation. It's the sort of place you would return to year-on -year and I would highly recommend it.

  • "An absolute fantastic holiday in an amazing house."

Everything was clean, tidy and lots of instructions which was much appreciated. Its the first time I've been to this house, my husband and his family were there last year, its the first time I've not cleaned myself coming to a holiday home, it was spotless, you could see the standard throughout the whole house. There was a chocolate cake, oh my word, it was the best we've ever had and a lovely touch. There was a really great welcome box which contained lots of useful items including extra bags, posh porridge and Cornish biscuits. The garden is stunning with amazing sea views. We sat outside and ate our dinner every night, we loved our week at Chynoweth and already booked for next year! Highly recommended for easy access to Crantock Beach, nice to be able to walk without having to drive. We cannot wait until next year, thanks so much to Jessica, we really appreciate all the nice treats it made our holiday extra special, and especially for the high level of cleanliness throughout the whole house, thank you. The property

Chynoweth is a detached house, set back from the West Pentire Road between Crantock Village and West Pentire on the sea side.

It is in an outstanding position with fantastic sea views over Crantock Bay and beyond.

The house is large, light and airy with plenty of space, and with two downstairs bedrooms complete with ensuite shower rooms, this house is ideal for parties who have guests who prefer not to go upstairs.

Chynoweth is a five minute walk from Crantock beach and Polly Joke beach, making it a haven for family groups or keen surfers.

A few minutes walk away is the Bowgie Inn, serving food and drink with the same fantastic view, and Crantock village is only five minute walk away in the opposite direction, where there are two more pubs, a Londis grocery store, Post Office and other village attractions.

Chynoweth boasts a large garden, perfect for dogs to explore.

The gardens are surrounded by Cornish hedges which the owners would like to point out that these type of hedges may not deter determined dogs who may be keen to go adventuring beyond the hedges!

Chynoweth is the perfect escape for your Cornwall break away.
