  • "We were very excited to come and stay at Selveyn."

We knew the property was going to be a big part of our holiday and it did not disappoint!! As a group of six staying for two the house was never crowded or cluttered, we all fitted in beautifully. We loved the open living space, which provided plenty of comfortable sitting when enjoying some tv downtime, and the dining space which easily catered for us. The kitchen space was great too, plenty of space to work together and everything was easy to find and work out how to work. The garden was such a bonus for us, we had some lovely evenings sitting round the fire pit…and during the day a nice place for breakfast or waiting or playing. Genuinely loved this home and we will always look to come back and stay here … but I suspect it gets booked up quickly so if it’s available for your dates don’t dilly dally, book it, unless it’s the same week I want it

  • "Lovely place to stay, so close to the beach and the surfing at Crantock."

The house has everything you could need to enjoy your holiday and is perfectly located to enjoy everything that Newquay and Cornwall has to offer. I would recommend this stay to anyone who likes a higher class of accommodation, but yet still loves the outdoors that is on offer from Newquay. Comfy beds, lovely kitchen area with the massive doors fully open to enjoy the garden, and even down to the washing line at the back of the garage for us to hang out wetsuits on to dry. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • "Absolutely spot on, our stay was far beyond our expectations from the photos and description, but then again it’s was described as perfect, how about absolutely fabulous."

I can see that in times to come the house will be seen as a little classic of its time, in the way that house design, interior fittings external recreational spaces changed when embracing energy conservation and open plan living styles.

  • "We spent 7 days in this magnificent house."

The property was clean, spacious and modern with everything you could need for a holiday. The garden was large and tidy with space for games with the kids. When we arrived there was milk and a bottle of prosecco in the fridge and a a cake ready to eat, which were grateful for after our journey. The house is located a very short walk from the village hub (2 pubs, a shop and a pizzeria) and a 10 minute walk to the beach I would definitely recommend this house and look forward to visiting again at some point.

  • "Wow, what a place!"

!! A stunning property, which has absolutely everything you need. The house was so clean on arrival, and the beds were immaculately made. It is the nicest house I've ever stayed in. Super sociable being so open plan, yet really cosy in the evenings. All appliances were top notch, and the decor is beautiful. I honestly couldn't recommend this holiday anymore than I am now. This has been the best holiday we have had in years!! Worth every single penny! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your perfect house. Hopefully we'll be back again!! <3

  • "Fantastic property, well equipped for families."

It’s a nice walk to two beaches which our 3 year old managed easily there and back. The Londis in the village has everything you could need and the farm shop at treago is nice too. We cooked most evenings on the fire pit at the house which was a lovely addition. We would definitely come and stay again.

  • "Amazing house in an unspoilt village, close to one of the best beaches in Cornwall."

Has everything you could need and more. Spacious and spotlessly clean. The owner is easily contactable and was more than happy to help us with a query we had. We travelled as a family of 5 adults and there was ample space. Our second stay at Selveyn and I would struggle to find a single negative thing to say .... except.... a week wasn't long enough. We will definitely return.

The Selveyn was very spacious, clean and comfortable, well equipped with all that is needed.Plenty of room for storage, good size fridge and freezer.Would recommend highly to all.One little issue , would have been nice to have manuals out on table, took a little while locating in draw!.I think it would be nice also to allow a pet, maybe something to consider,as Crantock is so dog friendly with fantastic walks and beach Helen Taylor

  • "Lovely property, spacious and well equipped, with a well-maintained garden."

A real plus that the utility room/store was able to double up as a drying room! Only niggle is that no instructions were left for our departure, so we had to use common sense re beds and bins. Would happily stay in this property again.
