    A great location both for Crantock and exploring other areas. The Garden was 100% secure so perfect for our little dog. The house was very clean and very quiet at night so perfect for a good nights sleep. An excellent property and one of our favourites to date so would 100% recommend.

    Clean, warm, lots of light and very comfortable. We had a chilly & wet week in the October half term so the log burner was a huge bonus. We will definitely be booking again.

    It was ideally positioned for three local super beaches and the well stocked village shop.. The local rep Donna couldn’t have been more helpful. In spite of the changeable weather we had a very enjoyable week.

    Such a wonderful place to explore Cornwall. Within an hour of St Ives, Padstow and other beautiful resorts. A lovely little bus ride into Newquay that takes about 15 minutes. The house was clean, Ian and Donna were nothing but friendly and helpful, advising us of new conditions linked to Covid and local suggestions of what to do. Couldn't fault the place, everything we wanted in a holiday. Looking forward to August 2021.

  • "Very peaceful location, very clean house, no outside noises penetrated inside, long walk to beach."

    However extra costs were 3.50£ per night on wood for wood burner as 3 electric radiators are totally inadequate to heat the house, 1£ for 30min of tumble dryer time, no hair dryer ( had to go to buy one), could do with more plates and smaller glasses ( nothing child friendly).

    Hot water seems to be limited.Oven is a bit of a mystery ?..but a great location with plenty of space,bedrooms good although second bedroom lacks wardrobes.Not a problem for us but would be with 4 adults staying...We love Crantock and West Pentire so would happily stay here again.

  • "Very comfortable bungalow which is well situated, lovely secure garden and would have been a real sun trap if we had the weather but we did go the last week in September, so it was a bit hit and miss."

    Ideal to reach other areas easily. Perranporth is well worth a visit as is Padstow. We have booked this bungalow again for next year. It’s also very dog friendly.

    Fantastic base to explore the county. So comfortable, modern and excellent facilities. We particularly loved the outdoor space, perfect to hear the waves crashing on a night.   • "A beautiful bungalow which was very comfy, spacious and spotlessly clean - a great “home from home”."

    The gardens are well maintained and the rear garden is enclosed, making it perfect for our dog. The bungalow is situated in a picturesque village, and it is ideally positioned as a great touring base. The housekeepers (Donna and Ian) were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and provided good local knowledge and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to our family and friends.

  • "The property, in our opinion, is more suitable for 2 adults and 1-2 children."

    The bedrooms are not big and bedroom 2 does not have a wardrobe, limited drawer space and no bedside lamps. The kitchen is tired and the appliances are well worn. The lack of a dish washer or a freezer are major omissions in a holiday let.

    The bungalow was spotlessly clean & well equipped. The photos didn’t do it justice. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. They even allowed us to get in 2 hours before check in. The village is lovely & the beach is idyllic, only 5 mins from the house. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

  • "Our 9th year at Crantock and we’re booked for next year already."

    The Corner House was a cozy bungalow with a sun trap garden. 10 mins walk from the beach and a few mins walk to the shop and 2 pubs. Secure garden for dog and lovely housekeepers that live close by should any problems arise. Very quiet location in a sought after village. Would recommend this property to all, accept for the week we need it!

The property

Corner House is a comfortable, well laid out, detached bungalow style cottage sleeping up to 4 adults with space for a cot for a child under 2.

It has a large corner plot and is conveniently located in a sunny spot between Crantock and West Pentire, a great spot for both the village and Crantock beach.

The spacious, comfortable house has a homely and un-fussy style about it.

The accommodation is all on one level with a beautiful laminated floor scattered with rugs throughout, making for real easy-living. The Corner House has an enclosed rear garden, making it ideal for dog owners or parties with small children.  Due to it’s central village location, you are never more than a five minute walk away from two pubs, the church of St Carantoc, the Londis/Post Office store and other village attractions.

As well as this, Crantock’s legendary sandy beach is only a short 10 minute walk away, with it's very own lifeguard, making the cottage ideal for families and surfers alike.

About the location


Newquay 4.5 miles.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
