  • "We had a brilliant time and thought the house was really good."

    Perfect for the kids, loved having the games room and tennis game in garden. The flowers and biscuits were a great touch. And we really appreciated the BBQ. Few areas for potential improvement. The shower pressure in the main bathroom was a bit weak, more storage needed in main bathroom, and all the toilets would spray water on your feet once you flushed it. Some blinds downstairs would have been nice too. Overall really happy and would definitely come again

I'm sorry you did not note the information in the email we sent prior to your arrival , explaining the toilets flush to clean , and require the lid to be closed . The showers are set to run in an environmentally friendly manner. We appreciate your comment about the blinds at the back of the house , they were ordered but unfortunately they could not be fitted during this season while we have guests staying . The blinds at the front of the house in the children's playroom and the main lounge do have blinds which are day to night blinds . I apologise you did not realise this . I will add this information to the introductory email .   • "We came to Crantock as a family of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids), the house and host are both excellent, spacious, modern, clean and the host made sure everything was catered for and always happy to answer any questions and give handy tips about the surrounding area."

    Close proximity to the best beach in Cornwall......Crantock! Good shop and pub in the village also, the only thing I would say is to book as far in advance for any local restaurants etc as we couldn't get in anywhere!!! We ended up using just eat instead

  • "Amazing house with lots of provision for families with young children - games room with books & even beach toys was very thoughtful."

    Children loved the rocking horse! Premium kitchen facilities with Nespresso machine & Dualit appliances. Large garden, however outdoor cushions for the seating would have been nice. Great location, easy to get to lots of beaches & only 30 mins from Padstow. However on the downside: Lack of curtains & only one set of wardrobes for a premium holiday let did let it down. No curtains in the front lounge meant you didn’t really want to sit in there at night as everyone can see in when you have the light on & it’s dark outside. Housekeeping wasn’t as good as expected, the house hadn’t been dusted in a while, judging by the amount of dust on the tv strand in the kitchen / family area. The shower screen in the en-suite also hadn’t been cleaned properly. Would love to visit again but hefty price increase for 2022, a 70% increase on the same week is outrageous.

  • "Lovely house in new development on outskirts of Crantock village."

    Beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchen and spacious living rooms. 5 min walk to the village to pick up pasties from the village shop and then 10 min walk onto the stunning Crantock beach. Lots of good walking as part of the South West Coastal Path. Highly recommend and would love to come back.

The property

Located on a peaceful new development on the edge of Crantock village, a short walk from the beach, is Bluebell House, a contemporary, detached property, ideal for a family or group of up to eight guests wanting to enjoy a coastal retreat on the north Cornwall coast.

Step into the property and discover an open-plan living room with newly fitted kitchen, comprising integrated appliances, a hot tap that provides instant boiling water for your morning tea or coffee, and sufficient worktop space to prepare delicious meals, with a breakfast bar and a dining table to enjoy meals together at, while the seating area has a cosy rug and choice of sofa and leather arm chair to snuggle onto with a good book.

There is a separate sitting room, providing a great place to unwind in the evening, with a large L-shaped sofa to curl up on while enjoying your favourite shows on the Smart TV and the games room is sure to keep the children entertained for hours.

There is a utility room housing a washing machine and a handy cloakroom with basin and WC, while upstairs is a fully-tiled, stylish bathroom suite with a shower over bath and a heated towel rail, where you can prepare for each day.

Upstairs you will also discover four spacious, carpeted bedrooms, neutrally styled with white and grey tones, two king-size bedrooms, en-suite shower room included with master bedroom, as well as a double bedroom and twin room.

Outside, there is off-road parking available, as well as a rear, enclosed garden, accessed via patio doors in the living room, with a lawn and a patio area with furniture, where you can enjoy an alfresco lunch in the sunshine.

You are within walking distance of a selection of shops, a convenience store, a pub and café, while Crantock Beach is less than a mile away, at the mouth of the Gannel estuary, offering a lovely sandy expanse, backed by sand dunes and excellent surfing conditions.

From here, you can access the South West Coast Path in both directions along the north Cornwall coast; head south towards the St Agnes Heritage Coast and discover Perranporth's 3-mile stretch of glorious sandy beach that is popular with surfers, as well as Cligga Head mine, St Agnes Head observatory and the National Trust's Chapel Porth nature reserve, while a venture north encorporates the popular surfing resort of Newquay, with three spectacular beaches, an idyllic harbour, a zoo and an aquarium, as well as the Trevose Head Heritage Coast, with attractions such as Carnewas at Bedruthan Steps, Trevose Headland nature reserve and the 19th century scenic Trevose Head Lighthouse.

The cathedral city of Truro is a short drive away, offering excellent shopping and dining opportunities, as well as strolls along its river, boat trips to the harbour town of Falmouth and access to the picturesque Boscawen Park, the National Trust's incredible Trelissick Garden estate.

There are many wonderful outdoor opportunities to explore the beauty of north Cornwall from this immaculate holiday home.

Newquay 4.5 miles.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
