"Very nice to be back again at the holiday house."
The wonderful view would make anyone want to stay there and not go home!! The house is well set up for a family holiday and very clean on arrival. Only issue could be the freezer is just a small box one. Wonderful well looked after garden and patio too. Nice welcome hamper with wine and cream scones! Highly recommend.

We love Crantock and West Pentire and come a few times a year. This was the first time I noticed this lovely home (which is how it felt) Fabulous view looking over Crantock Bay at the front and Polly Joke just a hop, skip and a jump on the other side in the valley. The next bay along is Holywell then Perranporth, all dog friendly all year so ideal for our 2 girls. The hosue is close to 2 good eateries, C Bay being totally dog friendly and The Bowgie Inn allowing dogs in the garden only. Crantock village shop is the nearest and pretty well stocked. The house itself is also well stocked with everything we needed and more. The Cornish cream tea was very well received, and the local coffee and tea, thank you so much. The garden is a good size and private, overlooking fields (long may that last!) The information received from Jane was comprehensive and Pauline was very friendly and helpful. We've booked again for February.

The house was really well set up however it was a little tired with the paint work and ceiling paper coming away from the ceiling in the living room. The bedrooms upstairs were very roomy however the two down stairs were very small with little storage space but adequate for our teenage children as they lived out of their suitcase practically. We loved the location and views and would return for the views in the future but hoped the house might be brought upto date slightly with decor. Thank you

It’s very well equipped and within walking distance of plenty of facilities including places to eat, beautiful beaches and cliff top walks. There’s a well maintained and ample garden at the back. The property maintenance team are brilliant- even left us a cream tea to welcome us on arrival. Cannot fault this place.

We were a party of 5 adults, 3 children under 10 plus a dog - felt quite lucky to find somewhere that was suitable for dogs and kids alike! The house had everything we needed, even scones, clotted cream, jam and Cornish tea when we arrived, a really welcome touch. All the rooms were a good size, very comfortable beds and amazing views from the living room. The beaches near the house are beautiful, Crantock beach and Jolly Poke were both 10 minutes walk away via coastal paths. Just to note that the fastest route to Crantock beach is via the path starting from the C Bay Cafe car park, but only at low tide. Local shops and cafe are also walking distance so no need to drive anywhere. We would definitely visit again!

Thank you for your suggestion. We have considered providing sun loungers in the past but with the property already having a large patio table, a number of patio chairs and also the picnic bench at the very top of the garden, we decided against them. The property caters for 8 guests and the storage for 8 sun loungers has always been a stumbling block too. But thank you for taking the time to make a suggestion and for your feedback. Property Owner
"We had a lovely and relaxing time at Crantock Bay Cottage."
The house was so comfortable, and Pauline was helpful and friendly. We were close to the coastal path and had easy access to Crantock Beach, when the tide was out. One of the best features is the view from the front windows. We would come sit with coffee in the morning, and return with a glass of wine at sun down to watch the tides and the light. It was sublime. Thank you!

Good location and easy to drive to places like Eden project, lost gardens of heligan etc. Very well equipped kitchen, nothing had been forgotten. Also had highchair, travel cot and stair gate which saved us bringing on the journey! Driveway fitted 3 large cars and could have fitted a 4th if needed. Bbq and chimney were a lovely touch! The beds were so comfy we checked what mattresses they were as we want them at home! Nothing negative to say and would definitely stay again!

Perfect for 6/8 people. Crantock Bay House has everything you could possibly need. The view from the front lounge windows was beautiful and we could sit there for hours. Short walk into the village and you have two great pubs etc. Fabulous location for coastal walks with the dog. We will definitely be back again next year.

The light was incredible. The house is clean, spacious, with gorgeous garden at the back looking onto fields and Cubert Common. Everything was provided/thought of. It is practical but also cosy. We barely used the car, spending our days walking along the coast path (5 mins walk along the road from the house) to beaches at Holywell, Crantock, or Polly Joke, or going to look at the seals on the head of the Kelseys. All are very close. Even my 3 teenagers loved the walks! We had a supermarket food delivery and ate out in the nearby C-Bay Cafe which was excellent. I highly recommend this property, especially if you want to explore the beauty of the Crantock area and have a dog.

Breathtaking views and excellent location, lovely helpful property manager Pauline, and immaculately clean. Then a lovely touch of fresh flowers and a home baked cream tea waiting on arrival was a very nice welcome. Booked again already.

CBH is noticeably smart, clean and tidy and holiday ready. We had other family next door and that house was lovely too but it felt more like someone else's home; CBH feels like a holiday home and that gives it a better feel when on holiday. The patio area is improved and I complimented the gardener - "We did that", he said, pleased. Other shrubs have been cut back and the garden seems larger. We often ate with the table on the lawn - hence the radio. now has batteries in it for outside use. One suggestion I have is ... an outside, hot shower. This may seem a luxury but it would make the return from the beach easier and would save sand build up in the drains? We have an outside hot shower at home - you will be amused to hear we live by the sea in Sussex. This is the best home addition we made as most times people come back from the beach, hot shower outside and then run around / sit around outside until dry - i.e. don't go into the house until dry. We recall a rack of hooks / hangers in the hall and always found that useful; why has it gone? Things pile up on the floor now. Just a small one. Next year there are change sent the holiday pattern so we are coming to Crantock but a week when CBH is already booked. "Crantock Bay House has the most stunning views and is very comfortable and spacious."
There are two restaurant within 5 mins walk, and several beaches within easy walking distance, although the closest access to Crantock beach is only accessible at low tide. The south west coastal path is right on the doorstep. There is plenty of space for 8 people. However, the freezer is just a table top so might not be enough space if you are taking lots of food. The house is nicely clean, but it wasn’t spotless for us. I don’t know if this was a one off, but I did have to do some bathroom cleaning and give the house a good airing on arrival. Having said that, I would still consider it for a future visit. We felt very welcome though, and really appreciated and enjoyed the cream tea and flowers.

Plenty of space in the house and the dogs loved running around the spacious garden. Well equipped kitchen which made mealtimes easy as eating out was a little trickier with the current Covid situation. Good sized rooms and very comfortable beds. Beautiful views out of the front and plenty of parking space. Would definitely recommend this house and location.

Clocks were set to British summer time so heating was schedule was out ! Some small touches required to make it such a great place. No working torch so couldn’t see the dogs in garden at night. Guess book was absent and welcome information pack was poor. On the whole an ideal location to visit North Cornwall

The rear of the house has a lovely garden, but due to the time of year/weather we were not able to take advantage of this. The downstairs double bedroom is adjacent to the utility room and was consequently noisy due to the heating and plumbing and disturbed the couple who slept there. We felt that the entrance hall would benefit from improvement as it is the main/only entrance and was used to remove/store muddy boots and wet shoes, I would suggest tiling. We felt that we underused the facilities due to the reasons above and consequently felt that the property was over priced for this time of year.

Views from the house really are spectacular! And there is a large attractive back garden to enjoy too. Beds are excellent and comfortable and there is plenty of seating. The only fault if you can call it that, is the lack of freezer space, which is actually a small box freezer which we struggled with as there are eight of us plus a baby. All other facilities except for the rather tired built in microwave, are excellent. Our family have been on two holidays together in this property and hope to return for a third time. Would highly recommend this property.

The location was perfect - closeness to pubs and restaurants. On arrival we were greeted with fresh scones, jam, clotted cream and Cornish tea bags :-). The walks were amazing and the beaches exceeded our expectations even saw seals!! Would definitely visit again and recommend this to anyone who hasn’t visited Crantock - Newquay. We didn’t want to leave and we stayed 5 days. The house was very clean and comfortable and the beds were as Good as 5star hotels we all slept very well and comfortably. Thank u for making it special as I even spent my birthday there.

Crantock Bay House is a detached house, set back and above the West Pentire Road between Crantock Village and West Pentire.
It is in an outstanding position with fantastic sea views over Crantock Bay and beyond.
The house is light and airy with plenty of space and very well equipped to our high standards to ensure that guests have a fabulous self catering holiday.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants.
