  • "Terrific house!"

Would definitely rebook if revisiting the area.

  • "Wow! What a fantastic place to stay."

House was perfect, location perfect, family holiday perfect. Three couples used the house, each with king-sized room & en-suite bathrooms so no arguing or waiting to use the shower. The house was fully equipped with high quality furnishings. We probably spent more time relaxing at the house than we usually would as the garden & hot tub were fantastic for relaxing in after long walking days. Crantock is our happy place & staying in Great Weston Farm did not disappoint.

  • "I think in The listing it needs to be clearer what bedrooms are downstairs and there are steps going down to the bedroom and the bathroom as well as kitchen steps."

My mum needed downstairs bedroom and bathroom as she fell over and to see steps wasn’t that comforting for her. The sensor in the bathroom comes on far too late that my mum fell over needs adjustment and to warn people to mind the step too.

We had a great family holiday. It is spacious and well equipped, very comfy beds and beautifully appointed, in the heart of Crantock.

  • "A VERY well equipped, comfortable converted farmhouse in a quiet, hospitable village - with excellent village Post Office/shop, two pubs and friendly locals within 5 mins walk of a spectacular sandy beach and with a quiet garden complete with hot tub."

Beautifully clean with a welcome of fresh flowers, tea and scones with clotted cream and jam a particularly nice touch. Our friendly local contact, Joly, went above and beyond to immediately come and provide a stair gate (necessary with a small toddler as there are several sets of stairs). Highly recommended,

  • "We had a very enjoyable time in Crantock, and the Farmhouse was a lovely place to stay."

Close to the beach and two very nice pubs. also great place to stay for coast walks. the only this is would recommend to the owner, would be to return the information file to the property, as it would been good to of known about the heating and how things worked etc. but overall, a very nice holiday cottage. Only downside for me, was that being 6ft 3" tall, there were a lot of low doorways. but that's what you would expect with an old cottage. many thanks Julian and Family

  • "We had a brilliant week in the GW Farmhouse and didn’t want to leave."

We stayed as an extended family of three households and the house was plenty big enough for us all to have our own space yet come together for meals etc. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen incredibly well stocked. We have always loved Crantock and would absolutely love to come back to the GW Farmhouse in the future. Thank you for having us

  • "Lovely holiday cottage, great location in the centre of the village, near the beach and a very short walk from the pub."

Fab facilities in the cottage. Would only suggest that families with toddlers are aware that there are stone steps up and down to everything on the ground floor. Our one year old grandson spent the whole time climbing these steps which meant we were slightly on our guard as some can't be closed off from the lounge. Despite this we would definitely stay here again.

  • "We stayed in this wonderful cottage with 5 person, a toddler and a dog."

We all felt at home straight away. Cantrock is lovely little village with a beautiful beach and Newquay is only a stone throw away. We cooked a lot in the well equipped kitchen and stayed in quite a lot, because the weather wasn’t that brilliant. But it was Ok, because the cottage is really cosy. We would definitely come back again.

  • "Positves: it is a beautiful, quirky house with lots of original features."

There is plenty of room so you don't feel cramped. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was lovely. The location is ideal for sightseeing and both pubs and the Jam Jar Kitchen/cafe in the village serve lovely food and have great staff. The beach is beautiful and there are lots of walks you can do. Negatives: There was an issue with a sash window which crash down and trapped my daughter's fingers when she opened it. The owner has been informed and will hopefully have all the windows checked to make sure they are safe. The garden furniture could do with upgrading as it is very uncomfortable to sit on. The garden isn't completely dog secure so owners need to keep an eye on their pets.

  • "Charming cottage, very well adapted for holiday lets."

Comfortable and thoughtful ... lovely soft "throws" for chilly evening suppers, hot tub appreciated, lots of coffee provided, well equipped kitchen. surprisingly quiet though in centre of built up village. A local guide/map would have been useful and the rubbish bin in my bathroom had not been emptied. Ideal for 3 adults and 4 children.

  • "Gorgeous cottage, comfortable and very well equipped."

Great location to explore the local area and enjoy the last bit of October sunshine. During our stay we did have quite a bit of rain, unfortunately the water started coming through the back door! We thought a tea towel would suffice to soak up the leak but got through 2 beach towels trying to control the leak! It also started dripping through the roof in the breakfast room, this obviously has been an issue before as there are existing marks on the ceiling. These both need addressing! The lid on the jacuzzi is broken but this has been pointed out before on previous reviews. I think a welcome book would have been nice with info about the cottage, local area and recommendations. The welcome package of scones, tea, coffee and milk was nice, thank you! Overall a gorgeous cottage, lovely location, very clean and very well equipped just a few maintenance issues that I feel when you are paying a certain price should be addressed.

Jacuzzi lid replaced over winter. Hopefully fixed leaks and breakfast room windows and repainted kitchen and breakfast room. Farmhouse deeper cleaned and prepared for new season. Feedback always very helpful - thanks. House management team of Tracy and Jols always available to help with any problems when they occur. Property Owner

Beds really comfortable! Be aware on the number of steps (down into the house and split level kitchen plus awkward staircase). We had a fit 83 year old with us but she found the steps a bit difficult.

THERE IS NO LARGE PARASOL TO GO ON THE MAIN GARDEN TABLE THEREFORE NO SHADE OFFERED TO DINERS. THE BBQ WAS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE DUE TO BROKEN LEGS. THE COVER FOR THE HOT TUB IS BADLEY FITTED AND THE HINGED BAR IS NOT SECURED TO THE TUB.

Parapsychology has now been purchased - sorry for delay when garden furniture was in short supply. Hottub and bbq repaired and replaced. Garden gate lock replaced and new hedge laid Property Owner

  • "Great Western Farmhouse is a wonderful house in the heart of Crantock, a minutes walk to the local pub and 10 minutes walk to Crantock beach which is brilliant and dog friendly."

The bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate and the layout is great and typical of a very old house whilst there were just three of us it lends itself to larger parties. The beds were super comfortable and the lounge sofas were also great for having ‘five minutes’. The hot tub added to the experience especially as we had an amazing week weather wise. The only thing I would say is that the boundaries weren’t fully enclosed and one of our dogs escaped on a few occasions so we had to use the garden chairs as a barrier to stop him. We would definitely return if this was sorted as loved the house and it’s location. Anne, Simon, Hedley and Wilson and Ivan the Chow Chows
