    “The restricted ceiling space in the bedroom will be an issue for some and the fact the broadband router is in the adjoining cottage isn’t ideal either.”

    Other than that it’s a fine cottage and having stayed in 2 other cottages in Crantock in the past 12 months it’s the only one with off-road parking directly outside the property.

Number 1 The Hinges is one of two properties which are part of a stylish conversion of farm buildings located in a very central village location in Crantock.

The cottage is presented by its interior designer owner to an exceptional standard in a modern contemporary style, with a dark stained floor and is in sympathy with its age and location.

It is a light and airy studio style holiday cottage with a contemporary feel and finished with natural materials, including slate and oak flooring in the living areas. One bedroom cottage, ideal for a couple or a couple with one young child or a baby, looking for less expensive but high quality accommodation.

The bedroom has an enormously comfortable 6’ bed with a separate day bed for a child under 12.

Due to its central location, Number 1 The Hinges will appeal to those who like to be within a close walking distance from Crantock village’s facilities, as well as being just a short drive from all of Cornwall’s sporting, leisure and other attractions.

Crantock beach is also just a five minute walk from the barn, making it an excellent spot for surfers and beach lovers.

CRANTOCK

Newquay 4.5 miles.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
