The road is busy at times. The bungalow is well equipped & comfortable & has everything you need.We feel that there are some areas need some attention ...but the owners are lovely & a welcome cake(homemade) was appreciated. I think in the summer the grounds would be lovely.

  • "A beautiful relaxing property nestled in stunning family and pet friendly grounds."

A lot of thought has gone into ensuring the ground are safe and fun for children… from a swing/slide, to a playhouse and lots of apple trees to pick apples from. The tennis court was a bonus too! The cottage itself was spacious, warm, well decorated with all you need in a kitchen. I cooked a great roast with amazing home made Yorkshire puddings along with a homemade caramelised apple crumble using baking apples from the garden.

  • "This is a lovely cottage with lovely hosts."

Peter and Heather were very kind and accommodating. The cottage is extremely well equipped (the most comprehensive that we have stayed in over eight years). The bed is really comfortable, the grounds are a delight - and so well-maintained by Peter and Heather. The only problem with writing an honestly positive comment, is that other people will want to go there (we'd rather keep it for ourselves!). However, we cannot fault it.

Thank you for your kind comments, and we look forward to seeing you again. Property Owner

Clean, comfortable and had every amenity that you would need for a great stay. The grounds that the property is located on is spacious and well kept, which includes a tennis court and a small activity area (swings and slide). The location is within easy reach of the attractions and close to Bodmin town centre, which also has a great cinema for those rainy days. Overall a fantastic holiday and will be looking to return again in the near future.

  • "The cottage owners were wonderfully welcoming."

The cottage was warm, spotless, spacious and set amongst lawn, woodland and herbaceous borders, with a tennis court and many areas to sit. Full of wildlife including pheasants by day and the owl and hedgehog by night. Loved watching the birds and listening to the owl. There is an adjacent woodland walk, great for the dog to go off lead. The cottage is well located for Wadebridge, Bodmin and the wonderful beaches near Padstow and the NT car park at Trevose Head. Fowey in the south just half an hour’s drive, and there are many wonderful gardens e.g. Trebah and Pinetum nearby, and of course The Camel Trail and Eden Project too. Book early as this cottage is popular! Might be worth noting that garden is not totally secure and may be visited by pheasants and deer, so dogs best kept on lead.

  • "We have just returned from a week's stay at Trelaze and we didn't want to come home."

It is set in the most beautiful gardens and our boys loved the tennis courts. The accommodation is set in the grounds of the owners' house, Peter and Heather, who are the most wonderful, welcoming hosts who invited us to use all of the grounds as if they were our own. They really had thought of everything to make it a home from home and everything was spotlessly clean. The location of Trelaze for us was perfect as it was away from the hustle and bustle but only a short drive to some of our favourite places in Cornwall, only about 20-25 minutes to Port Isaac, Polzeath, Rock or Padstow. Pencarrow House and gardens was only literally only around the corner and definitely worth a visit. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and our boys already want to go back again.

  • "We had a marvellous, memorable week at Trelaze."

The cottage was wonderfully light and airy, set in a large, beautiful, private garden. The kitchen was very well appointed and all the furnishings, especially our bed, were extremely comfortable. Every room was immaculately clean, as were the kitchen and bathroom. The owners, who lived in the house behind us, were a terrific couple, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. In short, highly recommended.

  • "Everything was ready for us on arrival, and enhanced cleaning procedures had been put in place due to COVID-19, which was reassuring."

Clean and comfortable with a delicious home made cake waiting for us! The large well-kept garden and tennis court are shared with other guests, but we had them to ourselves. A lovely place to sit in the evening listening to the owls. Bodmin moor is a short drive away, and several lovely spots on the north coast such as Fowey, Trevose and Port Isaac not far either. The latter too busy for us though. The owners were nearby if required, and were friendly and helpful. No complaints at all, he only downside might be that a car is required due to rural location.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Trelaze. Just to clarify: the lovely grounds of the property are private and are only shared with the owners of Trelaze. Property Owner

Heather’s lemon drizzle cake is gorgeous & she spoilt us, thank you. We had great fish from my husband & son’s fishing trip in Newquay.
