The property

Nestled in the quaint Cornish village of St Day lies this tasteful, two-bedroom caravan home, Avonmore.

Set on the grounds of St Day Tourist Park, this property boasts great access to nearby amenities, and makes a terrific base for families looking to explore Cornwall and its numerous, stunning Heritage coastlines.

Inside, make the most of the open-plan living area by setting up shop in the fully-fitted kitchen, where fresh, tasty meals can be rustled up to be enjoyed at the dining table or on the large corner sofa whilst you watch a film or two with your loved ones on the Smart TV.

As the evenings grow darker, treat yourself to a rejuvenating shower before retreating to one of two well-presented bedrooms, each comprising plush bedding that awaits to transport you to a state of tranquil bliss.

In the mornings, take your coffee out onto the rear decking to soak up your scenic surroundings, before making the short walk into St Day, where you can stock up on essentials at the St Day General Store, enjoy a refreshing pint at the St Day Inn, or visit the attractions of Poldice Mine and the Wheal Virgin Engine House.

Truro is a brief car journey away, home to the grand Victorian spot of Truro Cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum and the peaceful setting of Victoria Gardens.

Slightly further afield you can find Falmouth, a bustling coastal town where the sites of Pendennis Castle and Point await eager tourists, whilst an afternoon on the soft sands of Swanpool Beach is also a worthwhile addition to your travel itinerary.

Enjoy a memorable family trip to Cornwall when booking a stay at Avonmore.

About the location

Porthtowan 5 miles; Portreath 6 miles; Truro 7 miles; St Ives 20 miles; Falmouth 10 miles.

St Day was originally named after the little known Saint Day or Dye (better known in Brittany). The village now has a pub and convenience store, as well as a granite, gothic-style church dating back to 1828. Six miles away is the popular village of Portreath which attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese takeaway, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 7 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast to Gwithian and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
