The property

A detached, 'upside down' cottage with super sea views down Morwenstow combe, converted from stables in a quiet spot at the top of a long drive to the old vicarage, built by Reverend Hawker (famous for introducing Harvest Festivals and helping shipwrecked mariners); the vicarage's chimneys are models of church towers.

Footpath to the coast.

Excellent seasonal tea rooms at the top of the drive and ¼ mile to a good food pub.

In front of the cottage is your own garden (church fête held here and in vicarage gardens on 5 August).

Morwenstow is a rural hamlet set within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, approximately ten miles north of the coastal resort of Bude, complete with a well-respected pub. This breathtaking stretch of rugged coastline features delightful National Trust walks along the clifftops and through the woodlands within Coombe Valley, as well as numerous coves including Duckpool, Stanbury and Marsland Mouth. There is plenty of history to discover around the parish church regarding the renowned Reverend Hawker, a notable figure from Cornwall's past. Six miles away, the self-contained village of Kilkhampton offers day-to-day shopping facilities, a cafe and a pub.
