  • "After a long journey, we arrived to be greeted by milk in the fridge, tea bags, fresh eggs and bread."

The perfect way to start our break. The cottage was also warm and the lovely owner had ensured we had outside lights on so we could access the place easily. The facilities are very good with the added bonus on an enclosed garden which was perfect for our two dogs to roam safely. This is a wonderful place to stay for a couple and to explore the glorious coastline of Cornwall.

  • "Lovely cottage but rather smaller than expected."

It is advertised for sleeping three, but I think it would be a tight squeez for three people. Fortunately there was only two of us and one small dog, so we managed ok. The garden is lovely and very dog friendly and the parking was excellent. The property was spotless and had every thing you needed. And Tracy provided a lovely welcome pack of eggs, bread, butter, milk and cookies. Whic was moste appreciated, thanks you.

We also appreciated the clear instructions provided by the owners, which explained everything we could wish for. One final comment is that we would highly recommend Heligan Cottage for anyone taking a holiday with their dog/dogs. Simply ideal.

  • "Beautiful cottage, lovely and clean."

Lots of off road parking with a big garden. Host Tracey couldn’t have been more helpful. Sited in a perfect position for lots of dog friendly beaches, our favourite was Gorran Haven. Only slight negative is the bedrooms are quite small, but not a problem for a week’s stay.

  • "This is our 2nd vist to Heligan cottage, a beautiful well presented and fully equipped cottage."

Spotlessly clean, beautiful gardens and dog friendly. Tracey is a fantastic host, really helpful and thoughtful, on arrival she had left us a hamper, with everything you would need at the end of your journey, tea etc, some lovely scones, jam and clotted cream and some beautiful flowers from the garden. Infact we're already planning to return in 2024, hopefully with my new puppy. Outstanding cottage, fantastic host, what more would you want

  • "We had a lovely time but found the cottage a little small compared to others we have stayed in."

The seating in the sitting room was also small but the owner kindly replaced it with something more comfortable. Probably the best feature was a comfortable and fully secure outside garden which was perfect for our little dog.

  • "The cottage was wonderful."

It was ideal for the two of us and the two dogs. It was warm, cozy, extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The garden was great, it is sheltered and catches the sun and the outdoor seating meant we were able to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather by sitting outside in February. The dogs were able to wander freely in the garden and the gates secured the garden and the ample parking. So impressed we booked another holiday here during our stay.

Quite cool when we arrived (not unexpected for time of year). Owners helpfully adjusted heating but we would have preferred to have some way of doing so oursleves - especially as the weather improved later in the week.

Thank you for your feed back. The heating control is now located in the kitchen area so it can be altered as and when required. Best wishes, Tracey Property Owner

On arrival Tracey had left a tray of essentials ie teabags, milk and some lovely eggs fresh from their chickens, but beware of Nigel the Cockerell,he likes to let you know he's there lol. A nice and peaceful, relaxing week, beautiful well laid out lawns and seating areas. We'll definitely be back in 2023.
