  • "We had a good week at the Old Parlour except for a couple of things, firstly the atrocious pot holed bumpy driveway from the road to the complex, ok for tractors but not good for a family car."

Secondly the vacuum cleaner did not work, was completely blocked so could not pick up anything, the lady next door let me borrow hers. Thirdly some shelving or something in the bathroom to put toiletries etc, had to buy a small tray to put things in and leave it on the floor and a soap dish in the shower.

  • "A lovely find , yes some narrow roads to the property but we are in Cornwall!"

Garden was a great plus for the dogs. Might be worth mentioning it is on a complex with other holiday lets. Parking easy and well laid out. The barn was very comfy and warm ( those thick walls helped) wi fi good considering where we were. A good stop for exploring the beaches ( most 1/2 hr away) 1/4 mile track up to the cottages once done you know where you are all sorted. Thank you for the stay.

  • "Beautiful place to stay, we had everything we needed."

The cottage was very private and it was so easy to drive into Helston for shopping and we explored parts of Cornwall we always wanted to visit. The owner was always available, we couldn’t speak higher of this beautiful cottage . Thanks for having us, we will be back

  • "Initially I could not open front door, but after being told by the owner that it was very stiff I pushed down hard and it did open."

Eventually I began to leave the door open when I went out as I was uneasy as to whether I would be able to get back in. Toilet seat not fixed in place properly. Owner no answerphone. Long bumpy track to get to the property. But in other respects fine.

I am sorry you had difficulties with the door, it can be slightly stiff at times but we have never had any issues before. I can confirm the toilet seat was securely fixed when the property was cleaned. But a new seat has been fitted. I apologise that you were unable to get through on my mobile. Cornwall is notorious for poor reception in certain areas. Property Owner

  • "Old Parlour was perfect for us."

It gave the peace and quiet we needed! The house itself is comfortable clean and well maintained. Great having the utility room next door! Despite being in an isolated location all places we visited were easily accessible, we will return, we loved it. Thank you

  • "We enjoyed our week at the cottage."

The cottage had everything we needed. It was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. We travelled with two dogs and were really pleased with the private garden, until we saw the gate. It wasn't secure and so we were unable to leave the back door open as our one dog could have easily jumped/walked through the small swing gate. A six foot garden gate would have been more reassuring in a pet friendly property.
