  • "On arrival we found the cottage was infested with spiders."

We understand it is a converted barn, however, had the cottage had a deep clean (which is supposed to happen after every stay) then the amount of spiders and cobwebs would have been dramatically reduced. The grass also hadn’t been cut and it was too long for our children to play on as it had thistles and nettles in it.

Thank you for your feedback. As you mention, this is a granite, country home. Spiders are worse in the summer, and in reality require constant maintenance. Although all efforts are made to remove them on the Saturday clean, there is no guarantee they will not return in the meantime. The owners also have little control over thistles and nettles, and the grass is cut weekly or bi-weekly as needed. We hope you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "The location of this property is in a great place for visiting various beaches, villages and attractions and is an ideal location to also unwind and relax."

The owners were very knowledgeable, as well as friendly, and you could always approach them if you need any information. The property itself is far greater than the pictures portray; the size of the barn is incredible and very well furnished. Overall we had a great week and would recommend this property to anyone. We will back soon!

  • "A lovely conversion in a peaceful and handy location."

The owners are readily available but not visible which is nice and are lovely caring people. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious with everything you’d expect in terms of facilities with a great kitchen and bathrooms. Critically it could do with a bigger TV, the shower head in one of the bedrooms isn’t great, a BBQ and a parasol for shade on the outside seating/table. Recommended accommodation.

  • "Lovely cottage few things we think need addressing blinds up windows as no privacy at all which as three ladies we didn’t feel comfortable."

Television is far to small for the room and two remotes makes it complicated. Shower head in downstairs big bedroom needs changing as two small. We also feel that driveway needs a bit of work as large holes were tractor keeps coming and going as on a farm. Cottages is lovely but we feel these things need addressing

  • "Don't know who is employed to do the cleaning here, but they seem not to be able to see above their heads, and therefore cobwebs abound amongst the rafters and make this a great place for spiders to live, which they do."

Also, accidentally the standard lamp was knocked and we had to wait 5 minutes for the dust to settle. Otherwise, cleanliness was exceptional, which made this a great place to stay. But a cleaner without a stiff neck or a bad back would help matters enormously !

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head.
