  • "This flat in the eves of a larger house is lovely."

It has its own entrance and is completely self contained. Kitchen facilities and all the extras like washing up liquid, silver foil etc provided. The bed is comfortable, plenty of space for two. The gardens are also lovely. In the description it does mention the steep hill, it really is steep but do-able in about 8 minutes with heart pounding! This is the trade off for having such an amazing view and your own parking space which is rare to find in fishing villages. The village is perfect. Recommend taking some cash for boat fares.

  • "We have enjoyed a lovely holiday at Lookout - clean, cosy and comfortable."

We found the kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed. Being situated in the eves of Kit Hill, the views over the bay are amazing, especially when seated at the dining table. Very comfortable king size bed. So quiet and dark. Just the sound of the owls. Beautiful stars if you get a clear night. Delightful gardens with fish pond, table, chairs and table-tennis, plus more amazing views if you explore the garden. Mike and Jacquie were very pleasant hosts and really helpful if you needed to know anything. Their two small dogs are friendly. We only heard them bark a handful of times - certainly not yapping all day, nor annoying at all. Just the odd bark and not even every day. They are well behaved and are only outside when accompanied by Mike or Jacquie. The walk up and down the hill is very good exercise and it got easier by the end of the week. Distance from the "No Entry" sign at the bottom of the hill back to Lookout is about 500 - 550 steps depending in your stride. Polperro has a nice selection of shops. A few were closed for the whole of our stay and others were only open a few days, but we did visit out of season. Enjoyable walk along the cliff from Polperro to Looe. Lots of steps and ups and downs though. Light beat us and we got a taxi back for £10 from Looe, as we'd just missed the bus. There are boats that run to Looe from Polperro. Information board by the beach will tell you times and costs. So you could get the boat to Looe from Polperro and walk back. Definitely wish we had hiking poles though. They would have been a big help. We've had the best week here, felt so at home and really hope that we can come back and stay again.

  • "The access to the property is very restrictive down a single lane which is very steep in areas with a motor restriction sign on the hill itself and very few passing places."

This should be mentioned in the travel instructions for the approach to the property. It should also state that the apartment is part of Kit Hill house as this caused us a problem in locating the correct property.
