  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Tidewood."

So spacious, in a tranquil setting, with comfortable beds. An amazing view by day and great for star-gazing at night. Everything to make a holiday what it should be. We didn’t want to leave.

  • "A lovely property which was very well presented and spotlessly clean."

The scones on arrival were a nice touch too. What ever the weather we felt very connected to the countryside around us with all the windows, hours were passed simply watching the barley crop behind us sway in the breeze and the shapes of the occasional cloud, and at night the stars shone bright and we gazed in awe at the milky way. Magical.

  • "Another great stay at Tidewood, this time a winter visit."

The property still warm and cozy even in winter, especially when using the log burner, which was a great treat to sit by when having dinner. The only disappointment we had is when it was time to leave. I can’t express enough how conveniently located this property to all the Cornwall & Devon attractions, and yet remains quietly tucked away in a village off the main roads. Look forward to booking up again soon.

  • "What a gorgeous property and so well apppointed."

Our family enjoyed such a wonderful Christmas at Tidewood. It was so clean and comfortable and felt just like a home from home. they was nothing in the kitchen that hadn't been thought of and provided. Elizabeth left us some beautiful scones, jam and clotted cream on arrival. There was even a towel for the dog in case you forgot to bring one. we can honestly say that we didn't want to leave and would love to return again in the future. Very spacious and well equipped with loads of storage space and a lovely, quiet garden. Very helpful and friendly owner. Problem with the oil fired boiler but immersion heater worked fine as a back up.

Very dog friendly with extra little touches like an outside hose with warm water. Everything was perfect. Great communication with the owner. We spend two weeks every year in lovely cottages in different locations around the UK and this was the best so far. Highly recommended

  • "Beautiful house in a stunning location."

Lovely views of the sea on clear days, breathtaking sunsets and plenty of room for the kids to run about in the garden. The house is spacious and well equipped, with very helpful owners. The pub down the road was a wonderful bonus!

  • "A very tranquil place to unwind."

Tideswood for us was perfect light and airy with fantastic views, couldnt wish for more. Well appointed and a good size for larger families. fantastic garden for the pooch to run around. Coast walks on hand about a mile away, but explore the beautiful woods again so close. Please note which is not negative feedback, the wifi is slow not the owners choice I would think as the setting is rural. also be prepared for bigger families the fridge is not the largest.

  • "I would highly recommend this property."

It was a lovely house, with everything you could need for your holiday. The scones, jame and clotted cream on arrival were a welcome and lovely touch. Its well placed to visit lots of Devon and Cornwall villages, that's if you can tear yourself away from the panorama just beyond the big windows!

  • "Tidewood is a stunning cottage with fabulous views of the countryside, and at certain angles, of the sea too."

The garden is big and great for the children to run around in and play. We had a mix of weather so the rainy day games and jigsaws were a great addition. The cottage is 1.5 miles from a beach, which we did walk to. The views from it were stunning, but it isn't a sandy beach, so not one for the children to play on. There are several other local beaches though, so that was covered. Thank you for a great holiday.

We loved the location with lovely walks on the doorstep and a fabulous deck to relax, enjoy the the views and watch the sun go down. Thoughtful touches such as drink making facilities (we love a decent coffee) and a Devonshire cream tea on arrival, were very much appreciated.
