  • "Had a lovely time at a very well equipped house in a lovely rural location, the only negative was the WIFI which did not work at all and is not what you needed when you have children."

Other than that would definitely stay there again.

  • "We had a lovely holiday break at Bybrook Lodge despite the rather gloomy weather."

The lodge is perfectly positioned to be able to get around to the popular tourist places - Bude, Padstow, Tintagel etc - without too much travel involved but feels enough of the beaten track that you feel like you're in your own little world and semi secluded. The individual flowers around each lodge were really pretty as well. The shower was A M A Z I N G !!!! It's never been easier to get the kids into a shower - we all loved it. I would have marked this as exceeded expectations but some of the bits and pieces in the kitchen/lounge needed some work..... The gas stove burner didn't work - we didn't think there was any fuel left in the outside cannisters but felt we couldn't call as it was August and not really cold, however it would have been nice some evenings to have that 'glow'. Some of the cupboards in the kitchen were slightly hanging where the hinges had dropped but all in all, these were all minor really and we did enjoy the holiday.

  • "Cosy, modern lodge, well-equipped and within easy travelling of main tourist attractions (e."

    G. Tintagel, Boscastle, Eden Project). Would recommend the Tamar Otter & Wildlife Centre at North Petherwin where you can get very close to otters, hawks and even pet a turkey! Great for children and adults with friendly and helpful staff. Peckish fish & chips in Camelford only 10 mins drive and recommended, but only order the adult portion if you’re really ... peckish! Eden Project interesting but quite expensive and can be easily done in a morning, but there are National Trust gardens close by.
