  • "Lovely cottage, very well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches."

Very good location for getting to various beaches and places to visit. The housekeeper was very friendly and helpful when I contacted her for the arrival details. The only (very) slight thing was the sofa could do with being a bit more comfortable, but that’s really nit picking and will be of no concern if you’re spending your time out and about.

  • "This property was fantastic, great location, peaceful, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a lovely holiday."

Would highly recommend and would book again. To note, we had our dog with us and there is a lovely enclosed secure outside area for dogs.

  • "This place has everything!"

It’s the first holiday we have been to that has everything in the cottage. There has been so many places that don’t even have a tea towel. This place has 3! Brilliant! Good location. Comfy beds, brilliant space for everyone. The river behind was beautiful and was nice to listen too. Very clean as well! Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Polzeath, Tintagel, Trebarwith Strand and any surrounding areas.

Spotless accommodation with absolutely everything we needed and more. Highly recommend.

  • "Lovely lodge and very pretty inside, however with 6 adults, baby and puppy it was rather short on space especially seating and it did feel very cluttered with all the unnecessary bits of furniture, if these were removed perhaps an extra chair could be added."

Also the sofas really needs replacing as pieces of wood had been placed under cushions to give support. Having said that it was a lovely, quiet site very close to many places of interest.

Thank you for your feedback.I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Chy an Dour. The style of furniture in the Lodge is designed to give it a homely feel, but I take on board your comments about the sofas, and will check to be sure that they are comfortable for future guests.I hope you will visit again in the future Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage in idyllic surrounding."

Well equipped and nicely decorated with great touches of coastal ornaments dotted all around . The smell of the wood every time you walk in from a days out is lovely warming and cosy. The cottage itself has a lovely feel to it. Every thing you want is to hand and is easily accessible by the handy touches of labelled notes. Would defiantly return and recommend.

..we were so relaxed here we didn’t want to come home and with mince Pies, clotted cream, a Chocolate box for the kids and even dog treats left for us, it was the perfect arrival. Traci was available whenever we needed her , which we didn’t as everything was perfect. We will definitely be back for another visit....a perfect Christmas had by all!

Cream tea was left for us on arrival and milk tea and coffee. One issue we had with the garden was the fencing at the back of the garden our dog manage to get through to the stream. Loved the location and surrounding area. Padstow was our favourite place of our visit. Would visit again.

Thank you so much to Tracie for making it so welcoming (the scones, jam and clotted cream on arrival), the cottage was spotlessly clean and very cosy. This won’t be the last time we stay at chy. A big thank you.

The house was clean with everything available you could possibly need for a lovely stay, a beautiful home away from home. There was milk in the fridge, extra linen if need for the beds everything was mark clearly to make it easier. We couldnt have asked for more from the owners. Thank you again From the Moore family we hope to return next year. :-)

  • "The Lodge was lovely, really clean, great facilities and had everything we needed for a great week in Cornwall."

Location was ideal and as it was outside the school holidays not too busy on the Inny Vale Holiday Village site, although I can imagine in a few weeks it will be busy. The only disappointing thing(and our neighbours said the same) was the proximity of the other lodges to each other, funny how the Sykes site doesn't show or mention that you have very close neighbours, it was OK for us as we had a lodge at the back(with the stream behind us), but others on the site will be completely overlooked, some even had no secluded outside space at all. Sykes property description needs to be more honest and mention that other properties are close.
