    Mrs Dixon

“Lilyvale provided a compact cosy base from which to visit stunning coastal Cornwall.”

A little disappointed with the cleanliness of the property......cobwebs in the bathroom windows, dirty window surrounds in the bedrooms, evidence of old mildew on the bathroom blinds and main bedroom quilt cover. On stripping the single bed on day of departure the pillows had no pillow covers and the pillows were soiled and the mattress cover was soiled. The bedroom cupboard shelves were untidily stuffed with spare cushions and throws. We had to hunt for towels.....found under a bed , as not enough had been left. Disappointed.

The property

Boscastle 5.3 miles.

Perfectly located for touring Cornwall, this comfortable, detached holiday home is set alongside the upper reaches of the River Inny, in a picturesque valley on the Inny Vale Holiday Village, near the coastal village of Boscastle.

The front door of the property opens into a porch with a slate floor, which in turn leads into an open plan living area offering comfortable sitting and dining areas, as well as a kitchen.

There are two well-furnished bedrooms and a bathroom, while outside is a south-facing patio with a brick-built barbecue.

This wonderful space catches the sun all day and is the perfect spot for alfresco dining, while just 100 yards away is a tennis court, free to residents.

The dramatic coastline at Boscastle with its picturesque harbour makes for a magical holiday setting for walkers, cyclists and wildlife enthusiasts.

Just over 5 miles from the spectacular North Cornwall coastline, with delightful villages and beautiful beaches close by.

Inny Vale itself is at the heart of a marvellous area for touring, walking, fishing, golf, swimming and surfing.

Combine this with the history and legend that this area is steeped in, and it makes the perfect base for a holiday at any time of year.

Bodmin 8 miles; Tintagel 6 miles; Padstow 17 Miles; Bude 17 miles; Newquay 26 miles; Truro 35 miles.

The old market town of Camelford is located close to Cornwall's north coast and is ideally situated for exploring the wild country of Bodmin Moor and the high cliffs, hidden coves, fishing villages and surfing beaches that populate this beautiful area.

The southwest coastal path is a year round attraction and the surrounding villages and hamlets harbour a wealth of country inns and restaurants.

The nearest beach to Camelford is Trebarwith Strand which offers both surf for the more adventurous and safe rock pools for the younger members! Truly wonderful and only around five miles away, it is perfect for a day by the sea and is also dog friendly.

Nearby Wadebridge has a vibrant shopping centre and the Camel Trail, while Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, where Doc Martin is filmed and Tintagel can all be reached in less than 30 minutes.
