  • "The back garden is open to a steep slope with barbed wire then the river so had to watch our dog didn’t fall down slope."

Maybe a fence or wire netting would be good to make it safe.

Thank you for the fantastic rating you gave Treval Lodge on cleanliness; comfort and facilities. Our cleaning staff pride themselves in presenting the accommodation in the best possible way for all our guests. However, I was disappointed to see that you had commented on the property having barbed wire on the slope down to the river. Can I assure you, and other guests reading this comment, that this isn't the case at all. There is no barbed wire on the property. There is already a pig wire fence immediately in front of the river which not only prevents anyone falling in but stops cattle from the neighbouring fields coming into our gardens! Just to reassure you that had your dog fallen down the slope he/she definitely wouldn't have been injured by barbed wire nor fallen into the river. Property Owner

  • "Both myself and wife were amazed at the level and quality of the fittings and fixtures, even down to food boxes to put biscuits etc inn."

The site was very quite and peaceful, also the property was very warm , considering the weather (horrendous) we still only needed the heaters on for short periods to warm up. Both of us like to read and do crossword, and although the lighting was subdued there were enough table and standing lamps to prevent eye strain. Unfortunately earlier this year we had a poor experience in a Sykes cottage, however this stay has renewed our faith in Sykes. What more to say, we had a smashing rest, lost of great meals locally and "we will be back". Upstairs master bedroom was brilliant

  • "Treval lodge was absolutely perfect!"

It was spotlessly clean and the owners had provided so many little touches that made it a real home-from-home. The site itself was peaceful and a wonderful place to watch birds nesting and horses in the field opposite. We were in easy reach of the two museums at Davidstow, as well as being close to the North coast. The location has something for the whole family - we cycled the Camel Trail and walked up Rough Tor as well as visiting the nearby otter sanctuary. Highly recommended.

  • "Treval lodge is in an excellent location, for visiting North Cornwall."

The site is well maintained and peaceful next to the river. The lodge is well appointed and ideal for different generations of a family, having a downstairs bedroom and wet room suitable for elderly people with limited mobility. The only potential problem is the lack of car parking; there is one space next to the lodge, but all spaces in the main car park appeared to be numbered for other lodges. Overall we would recommend this as a place to stay.

Thank you very much for your feedback on Treval Lodge. I am delighted to learn that you and your family enjoyed your stay at the property. The accommodation really benefits from the downstairs wet room and bedroom and I am pleased you found it helpful. However, I was sorry to learn that you were unable to find the free additional parking spaces located in the main car park. I can assure you that they are definitely available to use and are not numbered or allocated to any particular property at Inny Vale. Thank you again and I do hope you will return Property Owner

  • "It was a pleasure to stay at your property."

kids really enjoyed it, weather was very nice at this time of the year. we had no wi-fi for a few days because of works being done by BT but we was offered a free extra night that was very kind. It’s a perfect place to stay with the kids and very close to most of the beautiful places. Close to shops witch was very helpful. we would definitely book holiday through Sykes again. Once again thank you so much.
