  • "One of the nicest lodges we have ever rented."

The view of the little lake and country side are beautiful. The lodge facilities are everything and more then expected. Hot tub wonderful. We will definitely be back with our little dog.

  • "We were really impressed with the property."

It had everything we needed and more. A lovely area and plenty of information leaflets left for us too to help us get to know the area. The only negative was the hot tub. The first day we used it, it was piping hot and the next the settings had been changed. We went to use it in the evening and the temperature had been turned all the way down so was cold when we got in. If we had previously known we would have put it on to heat before getting in.

The property is amazing! There were reviews that the bed was uncomfortable however, I found it to be lovely amd comfy with soft sheets and luxurious cushions and throw. 12 Faraway fields was everything we could have hoped for. The hot tub was perfectly clean and just perfect for a dip every evening after long walks. The view is just wonderful of the beautiful Country side! We did not want to leave! The property has everything you want and need for a fabulous base or to just stay and relax. We loved it and will return! Annie South Wales x

Can't wait to come back. Only negative is the roads in to the cabin needs fixing to any pot holes and the stones are not nice in the car. Cabin 12 needs a very little maintenance, leak tap drips in kitchen, bathroom sink cold tap lose, but like I've said before love the cabins and will be back.

  • "I stayed here with my partner and our dog for a long weekend and it was just perfect."

It was our first break away anywhere since 2019. The ideal lodge for complete relaxation and to switch off. It felt private too as you are not really overlooked by other lodges and the view is stunning. We watched the sunrise most mornings and it was beautiful. The lodge is very well equipped with everything you need. Kitchen has all utensils, glasses, plates etc. There is even a speaker so you can play your own music. Dressing gowns and towels provided too. There was even a small carton of milk in the fridge! It's in an ideal location to explore the local areas as you are within a 10 minute drive of Bodmin Moor and not far at all from the coast. We will certainly be staying again!

  • "This place exceeded our expectations and the pictures don’t do the lodge or site justice!"

Perfectly clean, extremely spacious both within the lodge and between neighbours. I would argue the best lodge on site and being only one of a few with enclosed decking was perfect for the dog. The bed was comfy, tv was big and connected to all main streaming services (if you have them), heating easy to control and the choice to open windows in bedrooms/bathrooms or open any of the 3 large double patio doors! There isn’t a shop or pub etc on site so you will need to be able to drive. We can’t wait to return!

It provided everything you could think of even down to dressing gowns. The hot tub was fab and we spend spent a few hours every night in it star gazing. Great views from the decking overlooking the pond. The place was clean and comfortable and we will definitely be back. Thank you

The lodge wasn’t as clean as i would of liked, I did run the vacuum over once we had un loaded the car, apart from that it was perfect and we will be returning.

The property is of a high standard with all the facilities you could need. The hottub and decking area are fab too. The actual site is secure, clean and nice and quiet; the pub was unfortunately closed during our visit. We will definitely be booking a return visit

The pictures truly don’t do it justice. The hot tub was divine and you have everything you could possibly need. Pub/restaurant and shop a minute drive away and it’s pretty central to explore Cornwall. I did struggle to get the electric hob working so maybe some instructions need to be left? Brilliant place we will definitely be back.

  • "Beautiful lodge in a beautiful location."

Lovely views. The lodge is in great condition. Nice walk in shower. Hot tub is sunk into the decking so easy to get in and nice and hot! Only negative is the lodge gets very hot very quickly and there are no fans. Great range of cutlery, crockery, glasses etc. Is a bit in the middle of nowhere which is exactly what some people would be after. Although Dobwalls is close by it's not walkable as its a very small road with no footpaths. No cafe or shop on site, just the lodges. But nice location to explore Cornwall. Big shops and takeaways in nearby Liskeard is only 10 minutes drive. Would definitely book again for a nice relaxing break.

We cannot fault it at all except that it probably needs black out blinds in the bedroom. It was spacious, clean, gorgeous views. a very short drive to the local village which has a lovely pub for food. Very easy to get to most places and we will definately come back.

Beautiful views over the lake to the countryside. On arrival the lodge was very chilly as the heating had been turned down as per the lodge instruction booklet. We turned it up and the lodge was warm and cosy in a couple of hours. The lodge was very clean and well presented. It has all the amenities that you need for that luxury break. The hot tub was just a really lovely extra, we loved it.

Only things that let it down was the pub that was in walking distance turns out it's a 15 minute drive away and the bed was very stiff. Would also like to have a blanket or 2 available. It was winter and there was times we was wishing there was a blanket. The cabin was perfect itself and was ideal for what we wanted just a bit more for comfort wouldn't hurt

I spoke to the lady in charge and she seemed to think this was acceptable for this time of year. We drove for 5 hours and did not expect to not use the lodge on arrival as we had to fumigate the main living room before being able to get in it or be able to cook food. Not the start we anticipated and we were not even offered compensation for the inconvenience

Beautiful views from where we were staying. Hot tub was lovely. We were left essentials for washing up a d for the dishwasher. We were also given shower gels etc in both bathrooms. The only thing was that we were left a map which showed a forest onsite which we thought would be perfect to walk our dig too, however you couldn't actually reach it due to fences and things stopping you from getting there. I would definitely recommend staying here, me, my partner and my dog enjoyed the stay.
