  • "This is our 3rd stay of staying at Southern Halt in Cornwall."

Every single time, we have never been disappointed. The lodge is comfy and it has everything you need. Everytime we visit, we always clean around ourselves as we found dog hairs on the floor and little bit dusty in places. We managed to go in the hot tub each day. Our electric tripped on our 2nd day but the workers on site were super quick to get this sorted and helped us out. The site is such a peaceful place, you never hear anyone else around and very hardly see anyone other than dog walkers. The hot tub maintances always come and check the water daily. We will be back again soon. As we enjoy it so much. The place never disappoints

The lodge was absolutely stunning. It had everything we could have needed and was clean and comfortable. The surroundings were beautiful, quiet and relaxing and the location was perfect to explore all the beautiful Cornish villages and harbours. We would definitely return and would highly recommend the lodge to others.

The decking was great, and the lodge was spotlessly clean.

On arriving at the property the cleaners had not been in so we had to wait about forty minutes and then thy had to come back as there were no ties on Bath robes I had a look at the loo brush absolutely disgusting book in is at 4pm and we had to wait the bed was very lumpy and dipped in the middle the sofas weren’t comfy either and we had two cushions for outside which we managed to find I had bite marks on my legs and back which looked like flea bites this happened in the main bedroom I think from the carpet or bedding I have no pets so I didn’t bring anything like that with me that will need looking at I know it is hot for this time of year so you will have to keep on top of things like that I felt very let down after waiting so long for a holiday I would look for somewhere different I was not happy this time you can do better thanks Mrs maggie j

  • "Yes I would like to tell you just a few things about our break."

We found the Lodge Park absolutely wonderful in every way, and it was so nice to be able to bring our pet along with us, however I notice that in the future, no pets in No.2. Faraway Fields sadly. I totally understand. The lodge was great, very comfortable, nicely decorated. There were one or two issues that, I personally feel, would have made our stay, and probably folk to follow a little easier. For example, there wasn't a full inventory for the lodge. There seemed to be essentials missing i.e. crockery and cooking equipment. We managed, however in this time of being encouraged to stay at home, we found we had to wash up more, which, as I understand the wonderful accommodation suggests it is home from home. There is something called the "pink book" which could help the owner of this accommodation tremendously sort this problem out. Another thing I wanted to mention, was that on arrival, we didn't have the code for the keybox, therefore, we were not able to get into the unit. We asked a few maintenance men who were working closeby, but they didn't understand why we didn't have it. Bit annoying standing in the rain and having to 'phone to find this code. Last but not least, I was a little concerned as the the accuracy of the stickers left outside the unit, which said the unit had been sanitized for our use. I found the skirtingboards around the unit to be dusty. The floor around the sofa, clearly hadn't been moved as there was dead grass on the floor. In the guest bathroom, there was soap caked on the basin from the previous occupiers I can only presume. I also feel it is important to tell you behind the beds in the second bedroom the skirtingboards were thick with dust. I found this whilst moving the beds apart for my family. Not a nice thing to find. It may have been sanitized dust, however, really shouldn't have been there. I have pointed this out to you, you asked and this is my findings. I am not being critical in anyway, just trying to help! I totally understand the problems with this blessed virus, and all the extra things that have to be done in the hospitality sector, however, you do display a Covid Virus sign, and your units should be to that standard. I will decline the Publish Feedback, as this would not be a nice thing to do, however I hope, for others to follow in the beautiful lodge, just a few tweaks here and there please.

  • "We loved the place."

All I would change is the bed. It was firm which might meet some people's needs but most of us general public are a medium for comfort.
