  • "This was our first time staying at Meadow Retreat, Dobwalls whilst the site was clean and tidy it lacked privacy around the lodges."

There was no lighting around the ponds at night. We prefer the lodges at Lanreath. The lodge itself was nice but the front door needed a blind or frosted glass as anyone could see in.

  • "We would highly recommend this."

Property. We had a lovely stay at 2 Meadow Retreat. The lodge contained everything that we needed. We used the Jacuzzi bath every day and watched TV. The cinema room was fab, you need an Amazon Prime or Netflix account to watch movies or you can watch ordinary TV channels. The heating was easy to control. The bed was very comfortable (always a bonus). A lovely place to return to after a day out. A couple of small negative points- the front door could do with a blind on it (we took a gro anywhere blackout blind) also a couple of plastic glasses would be good if you want to have a drink whilst relaxing in the jacuzzi. We would definitely go back again.

  • "Me and my partner spent 3 nights here and it was perfect!"

It has everything you'll need for your stay. It even has underfloor heating. The jacuzzi bath and sauna was excellent. The cinema room was nice and cosy. It was very clean when we arrived. Couldn't have asked for more really. The only thing I would say is that because the front door has clear glass, anyone can look straight in. I would recommend blinds or a curtain to prevent that. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back soon.

Even in January this was a perfect holiday getaway, the lodge is amazing and the sauna and cinema room just make it that extra special. Will definitely be staying again!

  • "We spent our time here for my partners 30th birthday and it was fantastic."

Excellent facilities, location was great and not too far from the city/towns. I would definitely recommend to stay again! We will be staying for much longer next time! The living room was tastefully decorated and very cosy with the Christmas tree added for the festive month. The kitchen is great, easy to use appliances and great modern design. The bathroom was the selling point for us, what a lovely huge spa bath with TV! we used this every night we stayed! The cinema room is amazing too with easy access to the WiFi to connect to Netflix from a touch of a button. We would recommend this to anyone who was thinking of staying in a log cabin for a few days/nights. Thanks for everything!

  • "Great accommodation and a very enjoyable stay, very much meeting our expectations."

The only area I would recommend for improvement is that for a one week stay for two people (paying over £1,000) I would expect to be provided with more than two bath towels and one tea-towel.

  • "We had an almost perfect stay at meadow retreat and were even greeted with fresh milk when we opened the fridge which was just one of the extras we were given for a self catering lodge!"

The only thing we will point out is that the booking email clearly states about the mill restaurant and bar located within close proximity and we were very disappointed when we found out through additional research that the restaurant is on a completely different holiday park location miles away! As a result, we managed to find several takeaways in the nearby liskeard which offered delivery although we’d have preferred to eat out on site. Our booking also stated that we had a roof terrace which we found out was incorrect as we only had a small balcony which was not very private as it was facing the entrance to the park. Otherwise, we had a very peaceful stay with a stunning view of the ponds and wild flowers.

  • "After a long day at the beach and visiting landmarks it was great to come back to our accommodation and unwind with all the amenities it had to offer!"

We had a lovely stay. The location is in a remote area with a short drive away from supermarkets. We will definitely revisit and recommend.

  • "Overall we had a lovely stay but two of the main facilities we were looking forward to we’re not working."

The television in the bathrooms sound wasn’t working and when I called to find out if there was a user manual or if someone could tell me how to fix it I was told it was a known issue and that they were waiting for the manufacturer to come back to them to fix it. Hannah in the office advised that she had stayed in the lodge a few weeks before and had had the same issue and said to put the tv on in the cinema room and turn the sound up, a solution but not ideal if you needed to change the channel. The cinema room was the biggest disappointment as we had packed DVD’s to watch. The sound bar didn’t appear to be connected to anything and there was no DVD player! I spoke to Hannah about this also and she said that there may be a dvd playing in the TV itself but there wasn’t. I explained that the cables were in the cupboard for the DVD player but there was no way of playing movie. I understand that due to COVID welcome packs/user guide have been removed from the accommodation but a basic laminated information sheet or an emailed welcome pack would have been useful.

  • "Me and my Fiancé really enjoyed our week stay here!"

Loved it so much we are coming back again! It is in a brilliant location, nice and quiet, if you are looking for a romantic get away this is perfect, shops just down the road Big brand shops like aldi Morrison’s and B&M etc. The kitchen has everything you could ask for! The sauna was just a lovely touch along with the jacuzzi bath brilliant idea to have the tv in there too! Really took advantage of the cinema room! If you go make sure you pack plenty of popcorn! The heating was spot on and the floor heating in the mornings was just lovely! Bed was absolutely comfortable! I can not complain what so ever! It had everything you needed! Miss it so much!

  • "Good Day I would like to start by saying that the facilities and cottage eere amazing."

We arrived at the cottage quite late on the Friday evening and as soon as we got out the car, we noticed the beautiful night sky. Things just got better as we opened the door to the cottage, the furnishings and facilities are second to none. The biggest dissapointnent, was the really loud road noise. The road behind the cottage is really busy. It started very early in the morning and continued until late in the evening disturbing our sleep. Also, the skylight in the shower room/ spa/ sauna room is an amazing idea for relaxing in the spa bath will gazing at the stars however, it lets in too much light and it can be disturbing if you are having a lie in. Perhaps, if a blind could be fitted? The email instructions, tips etc were also a great touch. Many Thanks Tanya
