Good location to reach both North and South coast. However this place has NO WIFI and should not be advertised as having it!

  • "Absolutely stunning lodge!"

Nice and secluded but not too far away from everyone else which is nice, really had a modern holiday home feel to it. Everything was spotless and clean. In an amazing location and just complete tranquility. Hot tub was cleaned everyday and we wasn't disturbed once which was lovely. The only regret is booking 4 nights instead of 7! Perfect little break in a lovely place

Lodge was very nice and quite secluded, very peaceful setting, hot tub was a bonus after coming back to relax in it after a days walk, staff on park were very friendly and helpful, had a problem with the tv in both rooms, couldn’t get Netflix on them, and when you turned the tv off in the lounge, the bedroom one lost signal, and wouldn’t work, also when you flushed the toilet the kitchen sink tap would leak, other wise lovely lodge and park settings, would return

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, however the property does need a bit of a spruce up in areas."

Upon booking you’re warned of the damage fees so you have to spend 30 mins going round taking photos of damages already there just incase. The floor in the bathroom area should be replaced or covered with something waterproof as the damage there is quite significant. We stayed on a Wednesday - Sunday as we had my brothers wedding locally on the Tuesday with accommodation there from Mon - Weds. I had to pay an extra £400 approximately to stay for these awkward dates, that’s fine. But in that case especially you expect everything to work, we had no wifi for 3 days, we were only there for 4. It was my birthday on Friday, my husband had bought me a kindle and I couldn’t set it up or explore, we had planned to have a couple of cosy nights in and watch some films but we couldn’t. We called the number given for any issues and they were of no help. There are no dvds supplied which could be a good idea so that people have a little selection of something to watch. It would also be really helpful to have a salt & pepper mill in the lodge. The bed was comfortable although one side felt slightly tilted/uneven, possibly damaged underneath? We didn’t look into it, and the purple throw hadn’t been washed for what looked like quitea while, it had a lot of marks on it which wasn’t nice. It was great to have some milk supplied and the little box of needed items such as tea etc, I was so grateful for this after arriving exhausted from the wedding. The area is beautiful and the position of the lodge is great, we felt nicely secluded, the hot tub is well maintained and was a really enjoyable part of our stay. It was easy to go anywhere from there, we know Bodmin well and we visited Looe, Fowey, Liskeard, Lostwithiel, Mawganporth and Porthpean where we took the paddle boards out and saw Seals! We had a brilliant time away for my birthday after a couple of rubbish ones and the lodge played a great part in that. We would stay again :).

We are sorry that your experience was not what you expected, but overall you did enjoy your time away and would return. Many thanks for your feedback and will pass this across to the team. Property Owner

  • "Overall the stay was very good, perfect little lodge with everything we wanted."

Only downer was me and my girlfriend were getting our things packed on leaving day early so we could spend a half hour in the hot tub before showering and leaving… this was not possible because the guy came to clean our hot tub at 9am even though check out time is 10am. Also, as he filled the hot tub with the hot water, this resulted in the shower not working so I’m assuming they all run off one system. His presence walking around the decking area also made my girlfriend feel uncomfortable and could not relax. A very sour taste was left after what were a lovely couple nights.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your comments, these have been taken on board and passed over to the Hot Tub company. We are glad you enjoyed your stay overall. Many thanks Property Owner

We stayed at No.3 Southern Place. The lodge was well equipped and nice and clean. Hot tub was good we used it everyday bar a stormy night. Really quiet park and well kept areas. The location of the park is a short walk away (10 mins) from Dobwalls where their is a pub and local Spar shop Dobwalls also has a decent bus service number 11, going to Plymouth one way and Bodmin the other. You can get a day ticket for an adult for £9 For the nearest shopping Liskard, isa 15 minute drive to the nearest supermarket

Thank you for the fantastic review, the hot tub is always a lovely addition and helps to relax. Property Owner

  • "The property is absolutely stunning."

We stayed here and loved every minute of it but it is slightly let down by the worn interior. My wife and I really enjoyed the location and how peaceful it was and the hot tub is great for relaxing in. I do feel that it was slightly let down by the fact we found cobwebs and there were marks on the walls. We also found half empty bottles in the wine cooler which seemed like they had been missed. It appeared that the cleaning team had let the side down and the property would look so much better with just a quick lick of paint. The property is very well equipped with everything you need and the Jacuzzi bath is seriously relaxing. Overall we found the property to be everything we expected and we would certainly go back.

  • "The lodge was fantastic for our needs and perfect size for the two of us."

Hot tub was lovely and the bed was very comfy. My only comments would be that the lodge had a few stains, on the coffe table, on some walls of the lodge, the kitchen splash back was marked, hands prints were also visible on the outside walls near the hot tub, coffee marks on some of the blinds, front blind next to tv broken and cant be opened properly. Apart from these small "picky" bits it was great. would definitely return.

The space was great and felt really private, the hot tub was fab with a cover so didn’t get too wet if it rained! Kitchen / Living room are was really spacious and the lodge was really clean. We would definitely book again (the tv in the ceiling was a good touch). Only down side is that the on-site restaurant wasn’t open on weekends which would have been ideal, and the dressing table area in the bedroom is really small and doesn’t fit much toiletries /makeup/ hair stuff to get ready on!

  • "We recently returned from a 3 night stay at this stunning lodge!"

The location is BEAUTIFUL with incredible views and close by to additional areas such as Looe and Plymouth. The lodge is fully equipped and it was a great touch leaving some essential bits including dish washer tablets and cloths etc. For anyone considering booking here, just to be aware there is a man that attends first thing to provide maintenance to the hot tub. He doesn’t disturb you at all but this is not mentioned in the booking. The hot tub is literally outside the bedroom doors so shut the blinds or just be mindful someone might possibly get an eyeful! The hot tub can be quite noisy during the night where it is heating. Our TV signal was not the best, however we did encounter some HORRENDOUS weather on Friday and into Saturday so this may have been the cause. Other than these minor issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stayed here! Thank you

It was really homey inside and it was just about the right size for us both. We were left a box with some essentials which included: some bin liners, a washing up sponge, a cloth, some dishwasher tablets, and a few sachets of coffee, tea, sugar and a few biscuits. We then walked into the bathroom and to our surprise there was another little gift bag which had soap, shampoo and conditioner etc. The bedroom, well, we walked in and we noticed there was a tv which came down from the ceiling, which we loved as we wasn’t aware there was going to be one. There was a wallet of flyers and leaflets for things to do which was very helpful, we took a trip to Polperro, lovely little shops around and amazing views! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend this to anyone!
