  • "We had a fantastic time in 4 Horizon View."

The lodge was immaculately clean and was very well equipped. The lodge itself was spacious and cosy. 1 improvement suggestion would be to add some draws for clothes. There was ample wardrobe space. The site itself is very well maintained and spacious. The location was superb, about a 15 min drive to Looe. 5 mins to Liskeard which was great for picking up some bits and pieces from Morrisons. Overall, excellent place to stay and would certainly return!

Thank you so very much for your amazing feedback Craig, I love that you've had a wonderful stay with us at 4 Horizon View. We really appreciate your suggestion of a chest of drawers in the bedroom, I have passed you comments to our Guest Service Manager to look into. We can't wait for you to return to see us, hurry back! • "It was perfect, the lodge was perfect for us family of 4, very spacious!"

Kids has their own room which was great. The hot tub was amazing with the view made a perfect setting, very tranquil. The grassed area too outside the lodge was great for our football loving 11 year old, he was able to enjoy the outside as much as he would at home. Reception messaged and phoned to make sure we were happy with everything which I thought was lovely

I am delighted to read how much fun you and your family had at 4 Horizon View and that your son was able to enjoy the outside space, Theresa! I hope we will be welcoming you back to see us in the very near future. Sally, Guest Services, Charteroak Property Owner

  • "We did ask prior to our visit for beds to be made up to kings and doubles but they weren’t so had to call Housekeeping, no problem as they came promptly and changed without much trouble."

Had to call maintenance on the second day as the towel rail was on day and night, which was too hot, labels on plugs would be helpful then you could turn it off yourself. Tongs needed in the kitchen, plastic wear for using outside, also no cushions on the outside furniture, it was beautiful weather so disappointing. Oven was grubby. Third double room very small, and very little wardrobe space. Instructions for appliances would be helpful. And a comments book would be good, to pass on information to other guests, places to eat and such. Settees very low if you have mobility problems, hot lovely but hard to get in and out. A little TLC would make it a fantastic lodge. A lovely quiet spot, peaceful when we were there.

Thank you for your feedback Andrea, I apologise that your beds were not as you were expecting them on your arrival. If I had been made aware of of your request I would have ensured that they were prepared for you. I am glad that the issue was remedied very quickly! Thank you also for leaving us all your suggestions and for letting us know of other issues that you found, we are always grateful to hear what would make our guests happier during their stay. I hope you will come back to stay with us again in the future to experience the changes we will make. Sally, Guest Services, Charteroak Property Owner

  • "Everything was good."

Some feedback, the kitchen tap has a leak and would be ideal if fixed, also kitchen cupboard door containing glasses would be better if opened from left to right for access from the kitchen side. The to remote in the bedroom not working, possibly flat batteries.

  • "Lovely property, we enjoyed our stay."

A good addition would be an outside parasol and stand for the hot weather. A fan would also be a good addition. Would definitely go back to this property and recommend it to others.

  • "The lodge was lovely and we all enjoyed staying there."

The views were stunning and we didn’t feel overlooked at all. My only suggestion for improvement would be to fix the blinds in the bedrooms as one was broken and others were not fully working or wonky. This was only a minor thing and didn’t detract from our stay in any way. The lodge was very comfortable, hot tub was great. Everything worked as it should, wifi was good, plenty of hot water etc. We would happily stay there again.

  • "We really enjoyed the location and views from the property."

There were a few minor issues we had found through our stay, one of these were the kettle had a broken switch and our lodge only having 2 robes when there were 4 of us, both of these were quickly resolved. Another issue we had was our fridge, it was cracked and broken where someone has obviously tried to shut the door with a drawer open and had then cracked it, but it never affected the way the fridge worked, just was not nice to look at, and would not be easy to replace quickly. Few mould spots in each bathroom and minor marks on the walls. Nice lay out to the lodge, easy access from cars. Could do with more drawer spaces and a tv in the twin rooms.

    Mrs Laura DiffeyMay 2022

  • "The lodge was excellent and the only complaint was of booming music from next door at number 3."

It’s windows were open and it was heard until 1:30am when they managed to get to sleep! Also heard by the occupants of 9 Horizon View.

  • "We had a lovely stay here, didn't want to leave."

Accommodation was lovely and clean with an amazing view plus the hot tub was a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Will definitely be returning.
