  • "Absolutely beautiful property, the hot tub was clean and ready to use shorty after arriving"

  • "The property is of a very high standard, with a full and useful kitchen and good quality furnishings throughout."

Our only moan is regarding the hot tub, we arrived on the Saturday after a 6 hour journey and was looking forward to a nice evening relaxing in the hot tub, however, we were told that it wasn't working and we were not to use it. I made our disappointment clear in an email. It was clear being the weekend that it was not going to get fixed until Monday. However, we later found out there was nothing wrong with it and apparently it just needed cleaning and as the hot tub people don't work weekends we would have to wait until Monday. That's 2 evenings out of 7 that we couldn't use it, I wondered if we was going to get some kind of refund! However, they did draft someone in on Sunday to clean it which obviously we were pleased with. All in all an excellent holiday lodge and location if peace and quiet is required 9.5/10.

A lovely quiet location to relax after busy days out in Cornwall. Lodge had everything we needed and lots of space for us and our two boys.

  • "What a lovely stay!"

We arrived everything was very clean and tidy. Just what you want. We didnt have anyone staying either side of us it was lovely and peaceful. There was everything you needed in the kitchen apart from a peeler which we brought and left needed for Sunday roast. I would definitely go back and try a different lodge.

  • "Absolutely fantastic!"

Me and my partner went for a week and it was the most incredible get away, everything is as it looks, it was clean and very spacious! The hot tub was incredible and it was so peaceful. It’s so close to all the main places in cornwall the most was travelled was 40 mins to st Ives! Check in and out was extremely easy, no hassle at all! I will definitely recommend staying here and will 100% be returning!! Thank you for an incredible stay

It would have been helpful to say that there was a washing machine in the property in the amenities section. The hot tub was very easy to use and was enjoyed every day. We would stay again

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Washing machine has been added to the details. Property Owner

  • "A lovely lodge and well presented only issue we had with it was ( no tv in the master bedroom)."

It might be worth mentioning that there might be some building work going on next door.

  • "The lodge was beautiful, it had everything we needed to make our stay amazing."

The hot tub was the perfect temperature all the time. It would have been nice to have some sort of cover over the hot tub as the weather wasn’t perfect, however this didn’t stop us getting in. Also, things could have been made easier if there was a manual in how to use the hot tub, however, we did figure it out quite quickly.

  • "The cottage is absolutely wonderful."

Everything you need down to the smallest detail, spotlessly clean and beautifully designed. The only reason for the low rating of the comfort is that we had an issue with a nasty noise coming from the boiler that kept us up at night. I did call the number provided 3 times to try and sort out but always went through to answer phone. You did try to call back once, to be entirely honest. I did not hear the call due to the wind (we were walking on the beach) and when I called back, answer phone again. I think the issue was serious enough to call for a response. Shame, if not for the communication, service and place are 5 stars.

  • "Absolutely fantastic, modern and clean, hot tub very welcoming."

Just requires measuring jug, slotted spoon, outside hooks to hang dressing gowns and outside light by hot tub adjustable so stays on longer as goes off too quickly but none of these caused major issues..

Had a truly wonderful stay at 7 Meadow Retreat. Hopefully looking forward to going back! Only one minor thing I noticed was on booking confirmation it said about food etc, on site- this wasn’t there? Google said it was on another Charteroak resort.

  • "Another fabulous stay at 7 Meadow Retreat!"

It’s peaceful location and a really comfortable, well equipped property. My only feedback (given we stay for 2 weeks at a time) is that it needs more hooks on backs of doors for hanging up towels, clothes and the hallway cupboard would be fab with a hanging rail and some low level shelving in it…all useful for ensuring shoes, coats and beach bits and bobs can be neatly stored out of sight.

  • "Lovely accommodation."

Needs a small clothes horse as no where to hang wet swim stuff and towels when you come out of the hot tub

  • "Great place to say, very clean and great facilities and the hot tub was a lovely treat."

Well equipped kitchen however a clothes dryer would have been useful. Only criticism is that you could smell the drains in the en-suite bathroom but apart from that could not fault the property. Would recommend anyone staying to visit Golitha falls as only a 6 min drive away and really beautiful.

  • "Going on holiday to Cornwall in October, we really did not know what to expect."

From the moment we drove through the gate the setting and lodges made us believe that we had made a good choice. On opening the door into the lodge we were not disappointed. The heating was on, the furnishings and layout of the lodge were so pleasing to the eye and it was exceptionally clean. The accommodation was so nice we were tempted to stay put and just relax. But Liskeard is so close to such fantastic places to explore and we had a great time, cycling along the Camel trail, walking along beautiful coastlines, surfing in Newquay, visiting the Eden project and so much more. The days out were made perfect by returning to somewhere that really felt like a home. The kitchen had everything to make self catering such a pleasure, but if you didn’t want to cook the local pub was a 5 minute walk away and with an excellent range of food and welcoming staff. I am so glad we had to have a staycation, because we have discovered a gem of place, thanks to Sykes Cottages.

A man came every day to check the Jacuzzi. Outside Jacuzzi was amazing and easy to access and use. The lodge was tastefully decorated throughout and had everything you needed. ( would have liked clothes rack for drying towels and white dressing gowns as do not want to use tumble dryer all the time). White towelling robes was a excellent touch and some toiletries. This was a lovely quiet site and easy to walk to village shop. We had total peace and quiet which we appreciated and totally Covid friendly . Would book again.

The accommodation had everything we needed and more! Loved the hot tub after some long coastal walks and the addition of Netflix was a real bonus! The beds and sofa were super comfortable and we could have happily stayed for longer than 2 weeks! The surrounding area is so peaceful and nicely Landscapes and we found the location great for heading off to north or south coastline for the day.

Within easy reach of Polperro, Looe, Eden Project, and nearby beauty spots eg Golitha falls. Adrenalin Quarry nearby for teenagers. Also a short drive to the Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor. Good for children of all ages or couples. The hot tub was fantastic! Note for Sykes: the bed is a king in this accommodation, there is a washer dryer, the hot tub is bigger than on your picture. Accommodation needs a clothes horse. TVs in bedrooms not installed yet (but we didn’t mind). Super, super, super. We can’t thank you enough. It was just great.
