  • "We were very disappointed with our arrival, we phoned on our way to with our ETA then when we got to our destination i phoned for further directions whoever answered the phone was extremely short with me and gave me directions then put the phone down on me."

Arrived at the corn store and had a walk round to try and find some one no answer from the house found Andrew in the yard who just told me its unlocked! normally you would expect some to show you what's what. The pillow and bedding could do with a refresh. The cooker knobs have hardly any makings on then so difficult to tell which ring or oven setting you are using. Now on the plus side the shower is very good, the cottage is nice and cosy and we all loved the dogs and pups.

  • "The hosts were friendly and welcoming as were the three farm yard dogs, and Andy gave us advice on local places to visit."

The converted barn was satisfactory although a bit spartan in places. Being situated well off the beaten track, it was a challenge navigating the local single track roads to get anywhere, don't follow your sat nav! A nice quiet location but would struggle for space with four adults. Maybe not an option if you have a shiny new car and don't fancy the hedge rows scraping down the sides of it on the unkempt farm tracks.

  • "Lovely place but it is very remote."

Not suitable for teenagers. Does state no WIFI but this is an issue even if you do not have children.

  • "There was no pressure in the shower, could do with a proper freezer, instructions for appliances missing, would benefit from a clothes maiden when weather inclement, clothes line inadequate, too short for a family, otherwise very quiet and family very nice."

As property on a working farm perhaps fly screens at doors appropriate.

Many thanks for your feedback. Regrettably there is no room for a freezer and so the property is only advertised with a fridge. The shower has also been replaced and the new pump works very well. The instructions have been taken out during the current covid situ for hygiene purposes but are of course available from me on request at any time during a guest visit. Thanks for your other comments also and we're glad we made you feel welcome and that you had a nice time. • "Managed to find property with satnav, but as there is no sign at the last turning to the property and it is a very narrow track, it would be useful to have a sign for the farm, otherwise it would be easy to be lost on the maze of narrow roads in the area."

Owners were friendly and helpful and on site.
