John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner Reviewed by Raymond5.0★Aug 2023 "Spacious 3 bedroom house in a great location - great being able to walk to both Daymer bay and Polzeath, both in around 15 minutes." Pretty well stocked kitchen. We could really have done with an outdoor tap/hose or shower for coming back from the beach. John Bray/Sykes not hugely helpful when we tried to re-arrange due to change in circumstances with more than 6 months notice but nothing out of line with their strict booking conditions. We had hoped that having been regular customers there may have been some flexibility. Also seems mad that bedding isn't included for the vast price we paid in high season like every other booking service. In summary, house in a great location with everything you need but won't be rushing to book with John Bray/Sykes again. Thank you for taking the time to give your feed back. We apologies that you feel we didn't meet your expectations during your stay. Each property is different and we need to abide by there policies. However we are pleased you enjoyed the property and hope you will return again in the future. View on map About the location DAYMER BAY Polzeath 1.3 miles; Rock 2.3 miles. Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders, with the gentle waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. At low tide you can walk across the sand to the village of Rock to indulge in a spot of retail therapy or a bite to eat at one of the many delicious eateries, or catch the short ferry ride and explore the delights of Padstow. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.
