The property

Just 100 metres from the sandy beach at Downderry, 300 yards from the village centre is Rock Rose, a superb, detached modern house enjoying spectacular panoramic sea views over the bay from Rame Head to Polperro and beyond.

South-facing, full-height windows/doors ensure that the ever-changing seascape is rarely out of sight.

24 steps (no handrail) lead from the street level parking area, up to the front door.

Inside is light and spacious with a relaxed holiday atmosphere.

The stylish open-plan living/dining/kitchen is arranged to make the most of views from ceiling-high glazed bi-fold doors.

Along the hall is a king-size double bedroom with en suite shower-room.

There are three more smart bedrooms, all with sea views on the first floor – the master king-size double with walk-in wardrobe and en suite shower-room with lavish double cubicle, a further king-size double and a twin.

To the front, a width-of-house sea-facing decked area with glazed balustrades, is the perfect spot for sunset drinks and alfresco suppers or below, is a pretty Mediterranean-style garden with colourful pots and sheltered terrace with table and chairs for morning coffee.

There are so many beaches in this part of Cornwall, you'll be spoilt for choice, just a short walk away are the sands at Seaton, and further afield Whitsand Bay and the pretty twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand.

Just across the water is Plymouth, Devon's 'Ocean City'.

Here you'll find all the usual amenities as well as an ice skating rink, aquarium and the historic hoe.

Whatever you decide to do, Rock Rose is a beautiful seaside home with unrivalled views along the stunning Cornish coast.
