Accuracy of the listing

10 Customer Reviews

  • "Excellent property, well equipped and comfortable for 4 friends."

Only minor gripe was the lack of spare toilet rolls.

    Mr SmithNov 2021

  • "What an amazing and special house."

There was so much room for all of us. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom and we found it to be extremely comfortable. I am very quick to wake up with aches and pains but I had none. The shower was very powerful and a good temperature. All my family upstairs loved their comforts too. Gorgeous views. Managed to see some sun and drink coffee on the balcony. The Beech House Restaurant at the bottom of the hill serves great coffee and cake. They can really cook. On our first night we bought fish coujons and chips which were just delicious. Watch out though as his staff don’t appear to realise he can provide fish coujons as a takeaway. Child portions were available too. Lovely wooded walks from the main Looe car park on the hill. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house. And Toni the caretaker was lovely and very helpful.

  • "Young people went in the sea every day."

Views from the cottage were really lovely. Would highly recommend it.

    Mrs FreestonOct 2021

  • "On the posatives this is such an amazing house, very stylish, incredible view and location, easy to live in and everything you need provided."

Warm clean and comfortable. Great for dogs. The deck area is lovely for breakfast and lunch if the sun is shining and amazing view of the sunset. The sea is a steep hill but quite doable. I cannot recommend it highly enough except for one point. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom is not of the standard of the rest of the house, it has a strong smell of damp and if definitely not a good room for anyone with allergies or asthma. Also the mattress support is gone and is like sleeping in a hammock. If you don't need this room then i definitely recommend this property.

  • "For price of property would of expected bit higher standard in respect of towels ."

Also little things like no oven gloves . Downstairs bathroom was disappointment not shown on pictures . Also car parking is only really suitable for two small cars.

  • "Just a great company to deal with and everything was just as described."

Couldn’t fault anything . Thank you

    Mrs MustchinMay 2021

  • "Beautiful property, great location"

    Mr EatonOct 2020

  • "We had a great week at Rock Rose, the views are just out of this world, and the photo's of the property don't do it justice."

Downderry is a hidden gem of Cornwall, not commercialised with a great dog friendly beach.

    Mrs EllisSep 2020

  • "Beautiful house with stunning views."

Would recommend to anyone. One bit of advice maybe but not a negative as we managed, in the upstairs bedrooms there isn’t a plug socket near a mirror. This made it a bit more difficult for styling hair, not really a big deal as everything else more than made up for it. I’d recommend booking ahead any tables for the local restaurants at present due to coronavirus especially at weekends. Someone else’s review said the local shop wouldn’t serve them. We had no problems and they were very polite.

  • "Fantastic place and very clean just like last year and the new rail and gate was a bonus."
