  • "The cottage is located in a quiet area."

A small neat cottage. Bathroom which is a shower and toilet downstairs. No toilet upstairs. Mobile signal is non existent in the area and in cottage have to use the WiFi which isn't strong and intermittent. But they are just couple point in what was a lovely stay in a lovely location.

  • "A lovely petite cottage with plenty space for our family of four and our dog."

Very well appointed with a fresh and clean appearance. Within easy walking distance to Charlestown harbour and beach. It was brilliant, we loved it. Only drawback was parking at peak times was unachievable in the bay opposite. Plenty other on street parking a bit further up the road.

  • "We really enjoyed our holiday in the cottage at Charlestown."

The cottage is in a wonderful location and overall we would describe ‘Coastal Pearl’ as excellent accommodation, refurbished to a high standard, that is well managed. The minor issue that perhaps needs a fraction more clarification is that ‘the toilet and shower facilities are on the ground floor’ and a modification is required to improve the TV signal.

  • "Great stay."

Really cosy and homely little cottage in a convenient location for exploring Cornwall and just a few minutes easy walk into Charlestown harbour. Perfect for 4 adults and a dog. We had a great time and would love to return. If you’re planning to cook a lot, bring your own implements but otherwise, everything you should need is there. Janice the house manager looked after us very well.

Would be much better with an upstairs toilet/bathroom As the property was listed as dog friendly would be better If there was a secure/enclosed area for our dog - we couldn’t let her out in the garden on her own TV and WFI signal could be improved

  • "Under current circumstances due to Covid I was anxious regards self catering but the standard of cleanliness far exceeded my expectations."

Coastal Pearl is a little gem, very comfortable well equipped and fantastic location. Local places to eat out whether snack of evening meal were dog friendly most important for us. Parking was no problem and we really enjoyed the autumn sun sitting in the garden late afternoon enjoying a holiday g&t. Charlestown is such an endearing spot on the coast ideal for a long weekend or lazy week and we hope to return next year. There is so much to embrace in our country, we throughly recommend this property and the region paying particular attention to local pasties and ice cream.

  • "An ideal and homely base to explore what is local or a little further afield."

Kept informed by owners in advance regarding preparation and cleaning procedures put in place due to Covid and house manager next door was polite and helpful whilst giving us space. A beautifully kept cottage for us (2 adults, 2 kids 10 & 15 and a small dog). Enough home comforts (Wifi, TV and Alexa, although our 10 year old somewhat found this novelty addictive!) Shower room (downstairs) is modern and really useful. A stunning location. Be aware about some restrictions of beaches for dogs during summer months but found on lead at Gorran Haven was good. The policy is a little confusing. Was able to park most evenings in the lay-by opposite and a little further up the road when busy. Lots of choice of eateries or take out and bigger stores for click n collect. We were out and about most days to explore Cornwall and all it has to offer. Would stay here again without hesitation as much more to see and do.

  • "The location of this property was fantastic, parking in the layby was difficult at times."

The property isn't huge but was just right as a base for a family of four people and 2 dogs. We all loved the shower in the gorgeous bathroom. It would have been helpful to know dogs cannot go on the beach at Charlestown as this is a cottage that allows dogs and where the best dog friendly beaches are. It would also be helpful to have an area around the back door enclosed as the garden isn't enclosed and there is access to the other properties at the back.

  • "Love, love, love Coastal Pearl."

The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. It was lovely to come back to at the end of the day but also brilliant for a lazy day sun-bathing on the loungers in the garden enjoying the fabulous weather we had. The location is perfect for getting to know this part of south Cornwall and the charming harbour at Charlestown is only a 2 minute walk away so really nice to wander down to in the morning / evenings to sit and have a coffee and/or meal in one of the many fabulous cafes/restaurants. There are also galleries and gift shops. The bedrooms are all light, airy and spacious with really comfortable beds. Everything has been thought of by the owners to give a truly comfortable and relaxed stay. The road outside can get quite busy although the large front garden distances you from this. Parking is in a lay-by opposite but as it is not restricted to residents only can get full. Having said that we never had an issue as mostly returned in the evenings when it was quieter. We would definitely stay at Coastal Pearl again if we ever come back to this part of Cornwall. 10/10
