  • "What a lovely apartment to stay in with great views and facilities."

We really loved our stay and would have booked again but there are no dates for this year! There was only one thing, the milk cartons in the fridge we rather out of date, they all ran out in May 2023!

  • "We were really looking forward to our stay ,but we’re extremely disappointed with the cleanliness and lack of maintenance at Kamal."

The door in the on suite shower had a handle that was not fixed properly and the tiles in the shower had black mould on them ,we had to clean it off as best we could with some cleaning product we found in one of the cupboards ,also the headboard fabric is cracked and worn the bedroom carpet is also grubby and needs a thorough clean . The sliding glass wardrobe doors will not open as they seem to come of the runners.in the sac on bedroom The blue metallic blinds in the kitchen are dirty and need cleaning, The leather sofas are not very comfortable and the windows need a good clean .also we bought candles to make the place smell better. The shower head in the other bathroom leaks The cleaning and maintenance is not acceptable given the time of arrival and departure. Really was disappointed and don’t think it was worth the cost .in our option would not recommend.

Thank you very much for your feedback, we are sorry to hear your stay was disappointing. We would have appreciated contact during your stay as some of these issues could have been easily resolved or explained to you. The property is very much cared for and looked after, it has had a busy season this year resulting in some extra work being required. Since your comments, we have ensured that all issues were investigated and have been resolved or a plan has been put in place. Property Owner

Very close to Charlestown for food and shops and central to lots of tourist attractions. The balcony is amazing with a perfect view, the beach is so close just make sure you have the up to date code as it changed part way through our holiday. Thanks for a fantastic holiday

  • "Beautiful flat."

Only suggestion… could do with curtains in the bedroom as the blinds let a lot of light in. We woke at 5ish each day.

Sorry about not having curtains but we had issues with broken poles and rods in past so decided to go for blackout blinds. Property Owner

  • "A beautiful apartment in a fabulous setting."

The views from the lounge and bedroom across the bay are fantastic, and we were lucky enough to have some great weather to enjoy breakfast on the secluded balcony (accessed from the master bedroom). The apartment was spacious and well equipped (tea, coffee etc provided) and having a second bathroom was a bonus. We were only there for a couple of nights but enjoyed the private beach, a visit to the Eden Project and walks to Charlestown for some lovely meals. I would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in this area of Cornwall

On a housing estate but on a no through road so quiet. Lovely view although it looks like development may be taking place in front of the flat........ All in all very pleased with our choice.

Thank you for staying with us. I am keeping my fingers crossed that no new developments affect the views. Will post information on website if anything changes . Please do come back again if possible. X Property Owner

  • "Lovely place to stay and the views were amazing."

Did see a deer run past a few times which was lovely. Right in the centre of everything. Also very secure door's are always locked and the bi folding doors were a massive bonus. The beach was stunning yes it was abit of a walk up and down but well worth every step. Only downside was the sofa wasn't very comfortable but you can live with that lol. Also a building site started up just outside the apartment at the beginning of our holiday . But will be coming back next year .

Thank you for the lovely feedback. Hope you managed to take some good pictures and please tag us if you put it on social media. I changed the sofa only recently when previous guests found the older one uncomfortable, although it wasn’t that old . I’m sorry if this one is still uncomfortable. I could leave some extra blankets to make it softer on your next visit , so please email me . X Property Owner

Lovely location, Charlestown, is a short drive as the coastal walk was closed The beach is fantastic so beautiful a bit steep if you are not so spritely!

Thank you for the lovely feedback. There is a short cut walk to Charlestown through the estate which I found recently, so please try it next time. I have also provided yoga books and mats and cooking books and utensils to have a relaxing time with new activities whilst staying in Kamal. Or you can visit Charlestown and Mevagissey restaurants and have our wonderful coastal Cornish cuisine. My favourite pastime is sunrise and sunset walks on both harbours. Apart from Duporth, you also have Carlyon bay and Porthpean beaches at walking distances. There are 3 golf course near you if interested, and I would personally recommend Porthpean for the views and variety Property Owner

  • "No heating on arrival engineer came and after fixing the problem it took 3 hours before the apartment to warm up."

While the engineer was there he helped us to pull the curtain in the lounge. The bar in the middle of the curtain pole stopped the curtain from being pulled right across..There were no blinds and no privacy at night due to the net curtain.. The door in the smaller bedroom couldn’t be closed due to the position of the single beds. We stayed here a few years ago and had no problems.

Hi I am very sorry for the trouble that you had during your stay. Unfortunately the blinds were damaged by guests and had to be removed. They are going to be replaced soon. We are in the process of changing the decor so beds were moved. Please accept our apologies regarding the heating as we had annual gas and boiler check and servicemen changed the settings and we didn’t realise it. I hope to rectify all faults soon. Please do come back for revisit and let us know if there are any others changes that would benefit the property. Regards Property Owner

  • "Great location, stunning views, stylish and well equipped."

Real bonus having a path opposite down to the lovely private beach. With all of our party being in our sixties, we found the sofas to be very low and not giving posture support, three of the four of us developed a few aches and pains. Struggled slightly with the narrow width of the bed in the ensuite room. While the apartment was very clean, there were lots of cobwebs on the ensuite balcony. Seems that I have highlighted a few negatives, but overall we did have a good and enjoyable stay at Kamal.

Thank you for the feedback after your stay in Kamal. I sincerely appreciate it and had taken immediate steps to rectify the matter. My caretaker is aware of the cobweb situation and she has informed her team to do the balconies during refresh cleaning. I also purchased two new sofas and enclose the photos here. They were delivered yesterday and I have tried it and would like to welcome you back to try them too!. I haven't been able to find a solution to the bed / room situation unfortunately. Please do contact me if there are any issues in your future stay with us. Property Owner

  • "I think run by 'Home from Home' and it really is."

A fabulous apartment very tastefully decorated and in a great location. Steep downhill to the beach but worth it. If you can't make it down and up, the view from the apartment is just as good. The apartment has pretty much everything you need (we just had to get some washing up liquid) with clear instructions for connecting to WiFi, bins and departure. Showers were excellent too! Will definitely look to book again when next in the area.

Thank you for feedback. I have rectified the matter with washing up liquid as we do usually keep it in flat along with dishwasher tabs but possibly got overlooked during busy changeover. Please do contact us if you are missing anything next time. Property Owner
