  • "We really enjoyed our stay (as usual) despite the March weather conspiring against us!"

Enjoyed using the branch line on many occasions both down to Looe & further afield via the mainline at Liskeard ... great to have a break from driving. Thanks

  • "The Cottage is a bit remote however once you are there it is very nice, very clean and well equipped Everything that you need is supplied."

Unfortunately, during our stay the weather was not very good, it was wet and cold, it did take time to heat up the Cottage even with new electric radiators fitted. Overall this was a lovely place to stay, the owner called round to make sure everything was ok.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Just a little too 'out of the way' for us.

Thank you for your feed back. We thank you for having chosen to stay with u. Sorry that the location of the cottage was a bit remote for you, although only a 10 minute drive to the nearest town, it is in a quieter location away from the hustle and bustle. • "A beautiful cottage with a very cosy feel to it The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you can think of."

A beautiful garden with a lovely stream at the bottom (we didn’t make much use of the garden as it was February ). The location is very rural and you definitely need a car to get about . Or you could make use of the train line that is right at the bottom of the garden . The trains going past are not noisy . You can hardly hear it. The cream tea that was left for us was very much appreciated. We would definitely recommend this property and would definitely re visit . Maybe in the summer next time to make use of the lovely outdoor space

Thank you so mum for your feed back it means a great deal to us. We would love to see you back in the dryer more sunnier months Property Owner

A perfect stay for two. Cottage extremely clean and very welcoming. Kitchen facilities were excellent. Milk and Scones a lovely welcome too. Car parked up for the week, with trips to Looe, Liskard and Penzance made extremely easy by train with station so close by. Will definitely be returning and would recommend. Thank you letting us share your wonderful home.

You are so very welcome. It’s great to hear that the train played a big part in your time at Millers Lodge. With it being so easy to access why not let the train take the strain.. that’s taking me back a few years!! Thank you for leaving the cottage so tidy. We would love to have you back anytime. Take care and hope to see you in the future Sarah and Jez. Property Owner

  • "We loved our stay at Miller’s Lodge."

The property was extremely comfortable and well-equipped with everything you could think of. We visited in mid November yet the cottage was warm and cosy with thoughtful books and good tv as well as a very nice kitchen to cook in during the winter evenings. The location just a two minute walk from the branch line station was really handy for trips to Looe, Liskeard or Plymouth - you could even arrive by train if you wished! There’s a lovely little tinkling brook at the end of the garden too! The WiFi in the cottage was excellent (despite Sykes saying it wasn’t!). We would highly recommend!

Thank you so much for such lovely feedback. We are so pleased that the cottage provided you with a comfortable space to spend your time away. We have recently had the WIFI put in so we need to update Sykes on that.. it only took us 18 months to get that done!! Property Owner

Had a problem with the fridge and the owner fixed it promptly and efficiently. Would recommend for peace and quiet but beware the road is a typical Cornish country lane but it is manageable and caused no problem to us.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you had a comfortable experience,so sorry about the fridge. We welcome any feedback on how we can increase our guests experience so if there is anything you think we can improve please let us know. We hope to see you again at Millers sometime in the future. the cottage ticked all the boxes for what we wanted from our break. Comfortable and clean with all the utensils and appliances for self catering. Bed was nice and obviously peaceful at night because of location. We visited Looe on the train on the last day it was running so easy and so convenient. Milk and cream/jam scones a very nice touch thank you :)

  • "Absolutely brilliant, spotlessly clean and comfortable."

We used the train to visit Looe and Liskeard every day, Looe gets very very busy and not having to look for parking space was a real bonus. (August) One little thing, a non slip mat in the shower would be good. Thanks for a great holiday and wonderful property.

Non slip mat now in place.. We are so pleased that you had a lovely time. Hope to see you again sometime. Sarah and Jez. Property Owner

  • "The property was stunning and a beautiful stay, however, the shower temperature was difficult to regulate."

It went from hot to cold every few seconds. This could go from boiling to freezing! Alongside this the counter tops in the kitchen were extremely sticky meaning that everything got stuck to them! However, these were the only downfalls of the property and overall it was an enjoyable stay. (Just not enjoyable shower)

Thank you for your feed back we will look at the issue with the shower today while on site. The worktops are wood and due to us having to disinfect them for covid regs this makes them sticky we are look to resolve this issue asap Thanks again Property Owner

However the postcode would not go into the integral car sat nav or Garmin. Your directions were sadly lacking. Stating we should stay on the A38 with no mention of the A3254 which would take us to St.Keynes. It took us over 2 hours to find the cottage. The owner said he will write better directions himself.
