  • "We enjoyed our stay at Quayside Cottage it was exceptioal."

The Owner had thought of everything to help us enjoy our stay. The only fault we found was the lack of wardrobes. One rail in one bedroom was insuffient for our needs.

  • "From the moment we walked into Quayside Cottage it felt like a wonderful little place."

Beautiful to look at, practical and with everything you needed and more. Welcome sign, basket and complimentary fizz were a wonderful touch. Such comfortable beds and Alexa was a treat for the kids. We were in the middle of the action without being disturbed. We would definitely stay again if we had the opportunity and will most certainly recommend to anyone who is travelling to Looe.

  • "The property was lovely and in a fantastic location, right on the harbour front."

It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The attention to detail by the owner was incredible and it had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Everything was to a very high standard and well thought through. The welcome hamper was excellent and a nice surprise on arrival. The owner was very helpful and gave us some great tips Looe is beautiful and the property is in the middle of the vibrant harbour with lots of shops, bars and restaurants literally on your door step. The photos don’t do this property justice, it is fantastic and we will definitely visit again.

  • "There was quite a bit of noise around the cottage on a night, not including the seagulls!"

! This is mentioned in the book at the cottage but not on the websitecore booking. The noise just took the edge off our stay as we needed sleep. Apart from this everything was fantastic!

Extra touches and thoughtfulness by the owner. Looe is a delightful town with a working harbour and beautiful beach. Difficult to book restaurants for evening meals.

About the location

LOOE

Liskeard 9 miles.

Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. You can also catch the river taxi between East and West Looe. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops, whilst West Looe has a lovely outlook across the harbour. Looe’s viewpoint, Banjo Pier, can be reached from the quay and is a great spot to watch the returning fishing trawlers and look across the bay to Looe Island, which can be walked to occasionally at very low tides. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. There is also a great rock pool area at Hannafore that children will love. West Looe has a Heritage Centre that recently opened in the Old Sardine Factory with a climbing wall and a cafe and the delightful Kilminorth Woods have way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect and bird life. Apart from beach activities in this part of south east Cornwall, there are many mining remains on Bodmin Moor and in the Tamar Valley and much of the mining landscape has World Heritage status. This area of Cornwall has inspired writers, such as Daphne du Maurier and much of Bodmin Moor has inspired legends linked with King Arthur. There is much to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
