  • "The cottage is well located and we had good contact from the caretaker who was responsive and helpful when we needed."

The cottage itself whilst well laid out is a little jaded, particularly upstairs which needs some redecorating. The 2nd bedroom is certainly best suited to children, rather than 2 adults. The cottage itself whilst well laid out is a little jaded, particularly upstairs which needs some redecorating. The 2nd bedroom is certainly best suited to children, rather than 2 adults. We had 2 friends staying with us and they certainly felt the room wasn’t appropriate for adults. The power shower was very poor – if you enjoy a shower this isn’t the property for you as the water flow was more from the taps, than the shower. Overall, the property was adequate, but a little disappointing at the same time.

  • "A delightful good value cottage in a location that we know well."

    Highly recommended.

  • "The cottage was lovely and clean."

Well equipped with everything you could need. Great location, close to the town and not far from beautiful beaches.

  • "We had a lovely time and the cottage was fine for my husband & I but would have been a little small if our grown up daughter’s had join us."

We had our two dogs with us so we did miss having our own garden to let them out for the loo. Lovely position for visiting lots of Cornwall. Wouldn’t pay the summer holiday price though.

  • "It was super"

  • "A great cottage conveniently located for exploring north Cornwall."

Spotlessly clean on arrival, well laid out accommodation that we all enjoyed (including our dog Milo)! Padstow just over 10 mins drive, Rock about 15. Watergate bay about 20. Spotlessly clean on arrival, well laid out accommodation that we all enjoyed (including our dog Milo)! Padstow just over 10 mins drive, Rock about 15. Watergate bay about 20. Cottage is part of a block of cottages around the Quarryman Inn. Was concerned about “pub” noise but despite height of summer no issues at all - can also recommend the hand pulled Otter beer. Would work well in the winter due to wood stove in the sitting room. All in all a great place to stay.

  • "The Cottage was small and compact, but probably one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in."

    Mrs WallisJul 2020

  • "Your website does not explain that there are at least 20 cottages in v close proximity."

It was quiet while we were there but I would think if more cottages are let out that it could become extremely noisy. Also in the summer the pub uses the outside area as a smoking area and customers can sit and drink and eat outside the cottages. This is not explained in your details.

  • "Great cottage in an excellent location to visit all attractions."

Would love to stay there again.

    Mrs GilborsonSep 2018

  • "A lovely cottage in a great location."

Ideal for visiting all parts of Cornwall. There was far more in equipment and such things as condiments etc than I expected. So good having a pub with really good food just yards from the door, and great that the cottage and pub were both dog friendly. We (my little dog and I) really enjoyed our holiday. Thank you.

The property

In the little hamlet of Edmonton, around a neat courtyard with cottages on three sides and a good food pub the pub on the fourth is Kingfisher Cottage.

From the front door you enter into a slate floored open plan living area, with a handsome stone fireplace and a wood/coal burning stove.

On the first floor are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, with fresh-coloured fabrics and glimpses of the Camel estuary, Padstow and the sea beyond.

At the back, is an open lawned area, shared with neighbouring cottages.

The lively market town of Wadebridge has plenty of good shops, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre.

The popular seaside town of Padstow is a real favourite for foodies, and for fun in the sun then head for the splendid Trevose peninsula beaches.
