  • "The property was amazing."

It suited our needs. There was a lovely hamper which included treats for the dogs. When we arrived it was warm and the Christmas decorations really did make it Christmassy. It was extremely well equipped. None of us could fault it. We had a wonderful magical Christmas at 1 Florence Place. If we could bottle it and sell it we would make a fortune.

  • "We loved this property, it’s a beautiful period home in a great location."

It was very well equipped and comfortable with lots of lovely touches for us and our dog. We had an issue with the heating in the top bedroom, the pressure had dropped and tried to call the property manager in the folder but didn’t get a reply. It might be a wrong number? My 92 year old mum was with us so we wanted to get it sorted for her as she feels the cold and the top bedroom was very cold for me . We called Helpful Holidays who managed to get hold of him via the housekeeper but it took another day. Apart from that we absolutely loved the house and holiday , thank you

Thank you for your comments about the property and really glad you found it well-equipped and comfortable and dog-friendly. We have instigated a new protocol for contacting our property manager should the need arise, after the difficulty you had, we are asking guests to text his number in the first instance and say it’s about the property so he is alerted to the issue and expecting the call. I think in this instance he was working across more than one property and so didn’t realise the urgency. Apologies for you having to wait for over a day for him to respond and we are hoping with the new protocol that won’t happen again. Thank you for letting us know. Property Owner

  • "What a beautiful house!"

! We absolutely loved Florence Place!! Such a fantastic period property! It was a pleasure to return here at the end of our busy days during our holiday! Such attention to detail!! The house was very clean, well cared for and welcoming! The beds were very comfortable. A real 'home from home '! We were able to park both our cars either outside or just around the corner every day.Would love to come back again!

  • "Place was great but parking was a big problem, I guess they can’t mention that in details as no one would book, otherwise nice place with lovely garden."

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry parking was more difficult during your stay. Sometimes when there are events in Falmouth it makes it harder to park. The property details do specify there is no private parking at the house and it is street parking only. There are usually spaces on Trelawney Road, next to the front gate or Florence Place, Florence Terrace or Marlborough Road, all are less than five minutes walk away. Property Owner

  • "There was a problem with both the fridge and the cooker so we had to call out the Property Manager, who was very responsive and resolved both issues."

The outdoor furniture could be updated to a more comfortable table and chairs

Thanks for your feedback and we are glad that the issues with the fridge and cooker were resolved by our property manager, Nick. With regards to the outdoor furniture, we have added a couple of recliner chairs with seat pads for guests to use in the garden. Property Owner

Loads of space, comfy and quality, we all had a fabulous time and looked to rebook here next year (the house is already booked for Shanty week so we’ll have to book earlier next time). Can’t recommend this house enough and I don’t usually do reviews!!

  • "The only problem with this house is that parking is extremely difficult."

I received a parking ticket as a result of one area close to the house is a one hour limit, but I did not know that. We actually had to time going out and coming back to when we thought we would be able to park. None of this is clear in the details of the house I loved the house and would love to go back but would not book it again simply because of the lack of parking.

Kitchen was a real home from home. We had a very comfortable, family oriented and relaxing stay. Only downside/minor inconvenience was street parking but this is an issue in the town’s residential areas in general.

  • "The house was lovely the problem was when we got there the first thing when opening the front door was a dead mouse in the hall way I know this cant be helped."

but the whole house was dirty we spent a few hours cleaning the place up all the bins were full and loads of empty beer bottles left in court yard. The main bathroom was filthy hair in the bath and a grime ring around the tub you really need to get a new cleaner the drains overflowed every time you used the shower or washed up. As I say the house was perfect but needs a good deep clean and a new cleaner in-between guests

Thank you for your feedback, we do indeed have a new cleaner now and have paid attention to the comments you made about your stay. Property Owner

Rambling over three storeys and with elegant period features, it is a comfortable and stylish house for a beach and town break.

From the hall, head into the big sitting room where you can relax and watch TV, and then through to a dining room.
