“Well worth staying”If you look hard enough you'll find fault anywhere, it just depends on how picky you want to be ...If you look hard enough you'll find fault anywhere, it just depends on how picky you want to be ? We wanted a cottage, open fire, remote/scenic area and that's exactly what we got! Plus the added benefit of a jacuzzi AND power shower - you really could not fault this, especially for the money!! If you're coming from an area with24/7 pubs etc then you'll be in for a shock. The local pub doesn't open during the day (Mon-Fri) - but that's ok if you know in advance - What you should most definitely do is plan your trips before you arrive, Barn Cottage is an amazing base location, Cornwall has lots to offer and if you don't leave there after visiting the likes of Falmouth, St Ives, Mullion Cove, The Lizard - then you really will have missed something truly magical. The Jacuzzi at The Barn came as valuable to us as beer does to pubs after walking around such scenic areas!! Cornwall is not that difficult to get around, so can get to all the places I mention above within an hour - Falmouth for us was right up our street, just a tad more buzzy than the other towns and only 15 minutes away from the cottage by taxi - Rick Steins restaurant is absolutely amazing. Don't get me wrong, if you're only looking for basic fish and chips then you'll find much cheaper options. However, this is Rick Stein, you've got to try his wondrous menu!! I'm going off on a tangent now I know, so back on track: Open fire, if you've not started your own fire before, Sarah will run you through it. You can't beat making you're own fire at night :-) Bed is really comfy Heating is excellent We'd definitely return here again
