  • "Hawkesbury is a good holiday home."

    There is plenty of space for two families, a well stocked kitchen and a fabulous location. We stayed for two weeks and explored the local area and loved it. We liked being able to walk to the town and beaches and our children loved the park across the road. There are some excellent restaurants in Falmouth and we enjoyed several of them but equally enjoyed cooking at the house. We were offered clean bedding and towels half way through our two week stay which was very much appreciated. All in all, it was a good base for exploring the area.

  • "Lovely property with quality furnishings plenty of room for us all."

    Parking at rear of property tight and on road not often available. Only let down by dampness in kitchen and downstairs bedroom due to gutter/down pipe issues if these are resolved then it would be perfect.

    Update July 2021: Thank you for your feedback, it's really great to hear you enjoyed your stay at Hawkesbury. Being situated this close to town, unfortunately free parking is at a real premium. The owners are pleased to be able to offer 3 dedicated and private spaces but they appreciate that the garage and car port were built when cars were much smaller. The property listing notes they are suitable for small/medium cars - you can just about squeeze in an Audi Q2. At the first possible opportunity the owners will take the exact measurement of the spaces and will add them to the listing. The damp issues were addressed prior to receiving guests this season but the recent bad weather hasn't done any favours! The owners are proactively seeking to rectify the damp issues with longer term solutions at the earliest opportunity that their bookings allow. We really hope you enjoyed Falmouth and we would be delighted if we were able to welcome you at Hawkesbury back again in future. Update 2 November 2021 - Further to our previous update, the damp in the kitchen and bedroom has now been rectified by a specialist and the guttering and down pipe replaced. The property listing has also been updated with the dimensions of the garage and car port. Property Owner

The property

Hawkesbury is a beautifully restored Regency townhouse, one mile from Falmouth's beaches and only 600 yards from the vibrant centre of the town.

With elegant period features it is a comfortable and stylish house for a beach or town break.

From the hall, head into the big sitting room where sash windows fill the room with light.

Relax and watch TV or look out over the very pretty neighbouring park.

The well equipped kitchen has plenty of space for everyone to gather and a dining table where you can all eat together.

Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with a king size bed and a large en suite shower room.

On the first floor is a bright and spacious double bedroom with a super king size bed and huge bay windows and lovely park views and a neat twin room.

For those seeking a little privacy or peace from the hustle and bustle of the group, a self contained annexe with double bedroom, bathroom and kitchen is a good spot to retreat.

Close the internal adjoining door, or leave them open to mingle.

At the rear is an attractive Mediterranean style terraced garden, the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine on a summer's evening.

Stroll into the lively heart of the town to shop, eat out and enjoy a drink at a smart bar or visit the National Maritime Museum for a fascinating glimpse into England's nautical history.

Don't forget to pack your beach gear too for the choice of beaches for sunbathing, sandcastling and rock pooling.

With golf, tennis, beautiful gardens and hotel spas within easy reach, Hawkesbury is an ideal base for a relaxing break.
