  • "The bathroom requires updating ."

The kitchen is satisfactory and well equipped. The lounge is lovely and cosy although a few of the windows were draughty. Beds very comfortable and the apartment was nice and clean. The location for us was perfect the shops being only two minutes walk. Sue was very helpful kind and considerate. The welcome pack and flowers was a lovely gesture. Thank you Sue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we have already booked to return in the spring.

  • "Sue the housekeeper was very helpful and let us know the property was available earlier on the day."

She also explained where the parking space was which was very helpful. The flowers, tea, coffee and milk along with Cornish shortbread biscuits was a nice welcoming touch. The property was well equipped and in a good location. The beds were comfortable and the lounge area.was very spacious. Having your own dedicated parking space was a bonus particularly in Falmouth, although a little on the small side if you have a large car. We wouldn’t have any issue staying in this property in the future.

Unfortunately, this was cancelled and we wish we could have postponed the holiday.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that this impacted your stay. Had you contacted us prior to your stay, we could have contacted the owner to try and arrange a change of date. We do hope you consider returning in the future. Property Owner

  • "The location is great."

Located at the top end of the high street in Falmouth, all of the shops and restaurants are no more than a 15 minute walk away. Very conveniently, one of Falmouth's two piers, is only a 2-3 minute walk down the high street, offering boat trips to St Mawes and river cruises. The apartment is excellent. The huge open plan living room and dining area is a fantastic space and the view out of the windows down to Falmouth harbour, is picturesque. The fully equipped kitchen also has a great view of the harbour. The bedrooms, whilst on the cosy side are decorated nicely, have very comfortable beds and plenty of space to store clothes, in both drawers and cupboards, where lots of wooden hangers are provided. Private parking is a bonus and removes the stress off trying to find parking spaces especially in high season. My only reason for awarding this accommodation a 4 out of 5 instead of a perfect 5 is the bathroom. Whilst it is adequate, I would suggest that the shower could do with an upgrade and the shower curtain could be replaced with a glass screen. The standard of cleanliness across the whole property was very high. The booking manager Sue was very helpful with any questions that I had both before arrival and during. Would definitely return to this accommodation if staying in Falmouth again.

  • "Lovely apartment with so much attention to detail, especially the huge living room with fantastic views of the harbour."

Decor was extremely tasteful but a bit quirky at the same time! Comfy and very cosy bedrooms. Could benefit from thicker or even blackout blinds but that's a personal choice. Really appreciated the welcome pack with Cornish biscuits, tea, coffee & milk & beautiful fresh flowers in the living room. Sue, the property manager, was extremely helpful throughout with any issues that we may have had & was quick to send on an item that we had left behind. Would highly recommend as beautiful apartment in perfect location!

  • "Overall experience very good, Falmouth busy but not too crowded, plenty of restaurants, take away's, bars ,shops etc."

[would advise pre-booking some restaurants well before holidays commence].Location of property excellent for views and proximity to town centre. Apartment very comfortable and had everything required for a self catering holiday, although we thought that the bathroom could do with updating generally but shower and shower curtain particularly. Manager of apartment approachable and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay so much we will definitely return. Very handy to have a parking space, and just a short walk to town. The fresh flowers, milk, tea, and coffee was most welcoming on arrival .Thanks for a lovely stay at the Lookout.

  • "This property is in a great location and the property was super clean."

We found it too difficult to find the temporary car park to obtain the proximity card; the entrance is concealed by other parked cars and it’s a one way road, however, once in the property it was great to have a parking space. We were very impressed with the view and the cleanliness. The property would benefit greatly from having have some sort of breakfast bar at the lounge windows; you cannot see the beautiful view unless standing up.

I would say that the tv could be updated to a smart tv as there was a very old DVD player which wasn’t the best.

  • "The whole experience was really brilliant in all aspects."

It couldn't have been any closer to all the facilities you could wish for eateries too many to mention & close to the pier where many of the boat trips went from and the Tourist information centre was there and you could book through them or at the many kiosks dotted around. The best part if you wanted to go around the large busy streets you had a shuttle bus that you could use. We used it for free as our concessionary bus passes in our town allowed free travel anywhere but it was only £2 hop off and hop on for other younger adults. Bargain. We even had free travel to Truro from Falmouth with the passes, provided you travelled after 9.30 each day. Most of the buses could be caught at Falmouth to any parts of Cornwall free uses these bus passes. For us it was wonderful. Central to two train stations(town & docks) in the town you were spoilt for choice. We chose to leave the car parked in the accommodation all week as it was in a safe underground car park for the apartment and allowed us to leisurely explore without having to drive everywhere.

  • "The description is slightly misleading because the stairs to the street that you would visit / go out (the hight Street) would be three flights of stairs."

The one flight of stairs it refers to in tbe description is a residential street. The apartment has everything you need to enjoy your stay a home from home. The only thing i would change would be the bed in the master bedroom as its very soft, and my preference would be for a firm mattress.

  • "The apartment is ideally located for visiting Cornwall, just a few minutes walk down into the busy shopping centre, but also a relaxing view along the estuary."

With it’s allocated secure parking makes it less stressful and it’s a good location for touring Cornwall. The apartment is well equipped, clean and comfortable with a nice touch of a welcome pack and flowers to greet you on arrival. We have used this apartment on a number of occasions over the years and it is testament to the apartments quality that we will continue to use it in the future.

  • "The description of the location states 10 minute walk to shops, restaurants, cafes and beach."

The beach is not a 10 minute walk. It took us about 20-25 mins. The signpost at the end of the high street says 10 minutes from there! The location of The Lookout is perfect for exploring Cornwall and being in the centre means we could leave the car behind when going out in the evening. Having off street parking was great too. The Lookout has everything you could need (including a hairdryer, but it's not listed so I packed mine). It was very much like being at home. There is plenty of living space and the knick knacks and pictures add to the seaside/holiday feeling. The kitchen and the living room do have a lovely views. The downsides of this property are: the damp smell in the main bedroom - we could see it on the external wall, and the kitchen had an odd smell. The kitchen is well equipped and clean though, it is just is outdated compared to the rest of the rooms. In the bathroom, the grouting around the shower needs a good clean to brighten it up. We did enjoy our week as the positives outweigh the negatives.

A vaulted ceiling adds to the tremendous feeling of space in this room which forms the heart of the apartment.

There is a double bedroom and a twin with a family bathroom.

Bar and café culture is very much alive in the town with a dazzling array of options from cappuccinos and cream teas to cocktails and canapés.
