  • "The Lookout is situated next to a road that leads directly into the town centre of Falmouth."

This is very convenient for shopping and access to bars and restaurants. However, it can be quite noisy. The double glazing in the property doesn't work that well. The parking is adequate and guests must be aware that there is quite a climb from street level to the Lookout. My only moan about the stay is the 9 o'clock deadline to vacate the property. Guests should also be aware that the Cornish season starts in April. Many of the boat trips do not run in March.

We both thought the shower was the best 'over the bath' shower we'd had and the beds were extremely comfortable. The car park was great and once I'd read the instructions properly for getting the key, everything was exactly as described.

The property otherwise was ideal but would not book again due to problem mentioned.

  • "A great location to explore Falmouth with reserved parking space."

The apartment was spotlessly clean and Sue text to let us know it was ready several hours early. The shower head needs replacing as it is not a proper shower head and does provide a poor shower! Lots of hot water and water pressure though. Bed is extremely comfortable. The kitchen has essentials. TV is a bit dated so don't expect to log into your Netflix etc. On the whole a nice place to stay in a location that allows you to walk to pubs and restaurants in the evening and explore lots of beautiful places within a 40 minute drive.

Thank you for your feedback. You will be pleased to hear the problems with the shower has been sorted. A whole new shower with a pressure system has been fitted. Property Owner

  • "First impressions were good but a couple of things were soon discovered."

The description to find the property was poor. The property LOOKOUT actually is the entire complex and we stayed at number 6,however to find the entrance was far from easy ,the road name would help find it and also its on a one way street which you first find as a No entry ,so have to drive all the way round..Lots of steps to negotiate and carry luggage down, definitely not for the unfit.48 steps down to the road to get onto the high street.Once the property has been entered comes the garage bit, 4 floors, not easy to park, especially if you have a medium to large vehicle. The bays were for 2 vehicles, luckily no-one parked next to us all week,if the park was full it would be a nightmare to try to get in and out as it is very tight and requires alot of manoeuvres. The property is nice and light with good views across the estuary when stood up.The bathroom is a big letdown, the bath is marked and it would benefit a walk in shower instead. The overhead shower is nothing but a trickle with a hard plastic curtain. The majorly of the basin is taken up by the mixer taps and is near impossible to wash your face without putting water everywhere. The slow close toilet lid lives up to its name ,we were there a week and it still hadn't closed when we left! The patio is strange it's on the front with a table and 2 chairs ,however when sat down all you see is a white wall with no view whatsoever. All in all we made the best of the property, would we use it again, the jury is out.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you found Lookout to be a nice property and you had a good time. We are sorry you had some difficulties reaching the parking, directions on how to reach the property and how to park are given with plenty of advance so guests have the possibility to read them before arrival. The garage and the parking bay are normal standard size and all guests have been able to park with ease. The garage is a valued feature of the property in the centre of Falmouth. The shower is being worked on in the upcoming month, which will improve the comfort. The patio is as portrayed in the images, which has the lovely view of the harbour. We hope you will visit Cornwall again for more lovely holidays. Property Owner

Stunning views and very central to surrounding facilities. Lovely accommodation very clean and bright. Our only issue was the bathroom (awful shower) which let's the property down, we understand this is due for replacement after which we would happily recommend as a five star property. Nice touch to have fresh flowers, tea and biscuits on our arrival. Thank you.

Right at the top of town with bars, shops and restaurants within minutes of the property. The property was very clean with the nice touches of roses and Cornwall shortbread being left for us. The only thing I would say would be to update the shower and have a shower screen instead of a curtain. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Fab central location (Great restaurants, pubs and shops all within walking distance!). The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped. Comfy beds and great lounge/dining room space with amazing views. The decor is a little outdated but who cares about that when you have such a lovely, clean, central place to stay on holiday!! Perfect place to relax. Sue is a great property manager...very attentive, a great communicator, really helpful and always on the end of the phone if needed. Thanks for a great stay, we look forward to returning.

She also explained where the parking space was which was very helpful. The flowers, tea, coffee and milk along with Cornish shortbread biscuits was a nice welcoming touch. The property was well equipped and in a good location. The beds were comfortable and the lounge area.was very spacious. Having your own dedicated parking space was a bonus particularly in Falmouth, although a little on the small side if you have a large car. • "The location is great."

Located at the top end of the high street in Falmouth, all of the shops and restaurants are no more than a 15 minute walk away. Very conveniently, one of Falmouth's two piers, is only a 2-3 minute walk down the high street, offering boat trips to St Mawes and river cruises. The apartment is excellent. The huge open plan living room and dining area is a fantastic space and the view out of the windows down to Falmouth harbour, is picturesque. The fully equipped kitchen also has a great view of the harbour. The bedrooms, whilst on the cosy side are decorated nicely, have very comfortable beds and plenty of space to store clothes, in both drawers and cupboards, where lots of wooden hangers are provided. Private parking is a bonus and removes the stress off trying to find parking spaces especially in high season. My only reason for awarding this accommodation a 4 out of 5 instead of a perfect 5 is the bathroom. Whilst it is adequate, I would suggest that the shower could do with an upgrade and the shower curtain could be replaced with a glass screen. The standard of cleanliness across the whole property was very high. The booking manager Sue was very helpful with any questions that I had both before arrival and during. Would definitely return to this accommodation if staying in Falmouth again.

Decor was extremely tasteful but a bit quirky at the same time! Comfy and very cosy bedrooms. Could benefit from thicker or even blackout blinds but that's a personal choice. Really appreciated the welcome pack with Cornish biscuits, tea, coffee & milk & beautiful fresh flowers in the living room. Sue, the property manager, was extremely helpful throughout with any issues that we may have had & was quick to send on an item that we had left behind. We found it too difficult to find the temporary car park to obtain the proximity card; the entrance is concealed by other parked cars and it’s a one way road, however, once in the property it was great to have a parking space. The property would benefit greatly from having have some sort of breakfast bar at the lounge windows; you cannot see the beautiful view unless standing up.

It couldn't have been any closer to all the facilities you could wish for eateries too many to mention & close to the pier where many of the boat trips went from and the Tourist information centre was there and you could book through them or at the many kiosks dotted around. The best part if you wanted to go around the large busy streets you had a shuttle bus that you could use. We used it for free as our concessionary bus passes in our town allowed free travel anywhere but it was only £2 hop off and hop on for other younger adults. Bargain. We even had free travel to Truro from Falmouth with the passes, provided you travelled after 9.30 each day. Most of the buses could be caught at Falmouth to any parts of Cornwall free uses these bus passes. For us it was wonderful. Central to two train stations(town & docks) in the town you were spoilt for choice. We chose to leave the car parked in the accommodation all week as it was in a safe underground car park for the apartment and allowed us to leisurely explore without having to drive everywhere.

  • "The description is slightly misleading because the stairs to the street that you would visit / go out (the hight Street) would be three flights of stairs."

The one flight of stairs it refers to in tbe description is a residential street. The apartment has everything you need to enjoy your stay a home from home. The only thing i would change would be the bed in the master bedroom as its very soft, and my preference would be for a firm mattress.

  • "The description of the location states 10 minute walk to shops, restaurants, cafes and beach."

The beach is not a 10 minute walk. It took us about 20-25 mins. The signpost at the end of the high street says 10 minutes from there! The location of The Lookout is perfect for exploring Cornwall and being in the centre means we could leave the car behind when going out in the evening. Having off street parking was great too. The Lookout has everything you could need (including a hairdryer, but it's not listed so I packed mine). It was very much like being at home. There is plenty of living space and the knick knacks and pictures add to the seaside/holiday feeling. The kitchen and the living room do have a lovely views. The downsides of this property are: the damp smell in the main bedroom - we could see it on the external wall, and the kitchen had an odd smell. The kitchen is well equipped and clean though, it is just is outdated compared to the rest of the rooms. In the bathroom, the grouting around the shower needs a good clean to brighten it up. We did enjoy our week as the positives outweigh the negatives.

This spacious apartment is situated overlooking the Falmouth Estuary, just a short walk from Falmouth town centre.

The Lookout is part of the prestigious Packet Quays development and standing at the bank of windows in the vast sitting room overlooking the water gives the distinct feeling of being at the bridge of a ship.

A vaulted ceiling adds to the tremendous feeling of space in this room which forms the heart of the apartment.

Accommodation is up a flight of stairs and then on one level with a well equipped kitchen and open plan living area with stunning views and window seats to enjoy them.

There is a double bedroom and a twin with a family bathroom.

Outside there is a balcony and patio area with furniture for alfresco breakfasts.

The magnificent harbour below is filled with crafts from dinghies to super yachts and even the odd cruise liner or battle ship.

Just moments from the centre of bustling Falmouth, an easy stroll will bring you to boutiques, antique and curio shops and artisan delicatessens.

Bar and café culture is very much alive in the town with a dazzling array of options from cappuccinos and cream teas to cocktails and canapés.

Falmouth is a fantastic destination for families with activities for all weathers; relax on one of the three sandy beaches at Swanpool, Gyllyngvase and Maenporth or try your hand at kayaking, sailing or diving at one of the water sport centres in the town.

The Medieval Pendennis Castle, The National Maritime Museum and Ships and Castles Leisure Centre are also great options for fun on those rainy days.

A boat trip is a must when in Falmouth; departing regularly from the town quay, there are plenty of options for exploring the beautiful hidden creeks of the Carrick Roads or Helford River with stops at pretty riverside inns along the way.

Perfectly located to enjoy Falmouth and the surrounding area of Cornwall, The Lookout is ideal for families and friends who want to watch and also explore the great outdoors.
