    It would be great to come in the summer and make full use of the lovely conservatory extension and courtyard. It was stormy and wet when we stayed, so having the wood burner and coming back to a toasty warm house (with a washing machine and dryer) was very welcome. A great location for being able to walk into Falmouth without taking the car everywhere (if you don't mind the hill!). The owners are very kind and responsive.

The property

Quarterdeck is perfectly located for enjoying all the historic port of Falmouth has to offer with its year round events, castle and award winning beaches all close by.

This delightful 1840s end of terrace house, which has been carefully restored and modernised, is set over two floors and overlooks the harbour with far reaching sea views.

From the two off-road parking spaces you enter the property via a wooden gate and steps into the private courtyard rear garden and then through the fully opening bi-fold doors into the bright and airy conservatory with door to the spacious shower and cloakroom.

The conservatory leads into the modern well equipped kitchen and dining area with original wooden floorboards.

The lounge, which has views of the harbour and across to the Roseland Peninsula, has cosy sofas and a log burner set in the original stone fireplace.

On the first floor are the three bedrooms, two king size doubles and a single, and the bathroom.

The main bedroom has a king-sized bed and spectacular views of the harbour, Falmouth Bay and Pendennis Castle.

The second bedroom can be set up with a king size double or two single beds and also has a view across the harbour to Flushing.

Quarterdeck is a few minutes’ walk from the town centre with its variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and the regular ferries to Flushing and St Mawes.

There is also easy access on foot or by car to the beaches at Gyllyngvase, Swanpool and Maenporth with their beachside cafes and restaurants.

Quarterdeck is well placed to enjoy the delights of Falmouth as well as coastal walks and the nearby National Trust properties including Glendurgan and Trellisick.

With its full central heating, log burner and underfloor heating in the conservatory and shower room it is warm and welcoming all year round.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and site of special scientific interest teeming with a variety of wildlife. Falmouth offers such a rich variety of landscape and attractions for people of all ages, it is sure to tempt you back time and again.
